This time last week a mixed crew of surfers and filmers were bouncing about near the edge of Australia's continental shelf. With an incredible swell forecast and equally improbable wind outlook the crew, including Leigh Gapp, Ryan 'Wanga' Waine, Ewan Donnachie, Josiah Schmucker, and filmer Kane Overall, boarded Jeff Schmucker's tub to explore little-known reefs far from the South Australian coast.

During the trip they pioneered a couple of waves, notably a heaving left bommie and a long open-ocean left. Still shots from Kane Overall have already appeared on the 'net with more to come.
