I'm gonna let y'all in on a little secret...

But first a quick word about Tim Bonython. Late last month Tim put his swell divining skill to good use scoring three sessions in three days, each a long way from the other. From Cow Bommie, to Rottnest Island, and onward to Gnaraloo. The old dog caught the red eye back to Sydney rubbing his hands in glee - scored.

But it ain't all like that you see...

Last Tuesday a huge swell hit the East Coast and Tim was on the prowl with a bevy of pros - Dorian, Irons, Walsh etc - in tow. Over the course of a day they stopped in at every possible wave the Sydney and Illawarra regions had to offer, clocked over 500 clicks on the odometer, yet went home dry and very, very frustrated.

So don't let Tim tell you he scores wherever he goes, it just seems that way when he whittles down a years worth of sessions into his Australian Surf Movie Festival. The photos below are from the Rotto session which starred Brad Norris, Luke Myllie, Mick Corbett, and Brad Domke on skimboard. It's another session that didn't make the ASMF cut so we can show it here.
