Garrett McNamara's nearing the end of an interesting pre-European winter project called "The North Canyon Show".

Relocating himself to Nazaré for three weeks waiting exclusively for super-sized North Atlantic swells, McNamara's done particularly well - scoring two very large days with favourable winds, the largest of which went down last Thursday at Praia do Norte.

Accompanying McNamara for this session were Portuguese surfers José Gregório and Ruben Gonzalez, and Irish surfers Alistair Mennie and Andrew Cotton, fresh from their recent discovery of the new wave 'Prowlers' off Ireland's West Coast which made mainstream news right around the world.
