Kuta Laut
Friday afternoon. I'm about to lob out the door when the inbox goes ping. It's an email from a bloke called Trent, no last name offered. It's unsolicited, unexpected, but brimming with excitement and bad grammar. My favourite type of email. And the photos...!
"Named the Kuta Laut, or in English, the Sea Horse, we galloped our way in front of the pack from north to south across the Mentawai Islands.
Bryan, part owner, surf guide and absolute frother ensured he put us a nose in front of the field scoring an uncrowded racetrack. His crew being Anto the chef, putting epic food to fuel our race legs, Chris aka Jayden making sure "the Commodore" started when needed and Tony "the skipper" who put the hours in to get us to the finish line with a smile.
An epic Indo surf adventure this is, provided by an epic crew. A no bells and whistles approach but all creature comforts provided made for 6 happy punters.
Bryan and the boys, keep it all about surfing as that's why we travel the miles!
Kuta Laut go you good thing!!"
