Yesterday the first two rounds of the Backdoor Shootout - a Pipeline specialty event - went down in what many surfers called the best Pipeline day of the season so far. The Shootout pits teams of four against others in a unique rotating format.

Tim Bonython was on the beach to record the comp. Surfers featured (in order), Billy Kemper, JOB, Bruce Irons, Kala Alexander, Stephen Koehne, Mark Mathews, Danny Fuller, Mason Ho.
