I bet the newspapers are upset they weren't armed with this story when shark hysteria overtook Australia last summer.

I'm gonna take a stand against this formalised 'celebration'. I'm dissenting from International Surf Day

The Bass Coast doesn't immediately come to mind when surfers think of Victoria. After all, the Surf Coast has Bells and a lotta history, the West Coast has the size and Two-Mile, and Phillip Island has barrels and a lot of blokes. So in that context you could say that the Bass Coast – from Kilcunda down to Walkerville – is a forgotten stretch of coastline.

Well, do you reckon that all pro surfers are spotless? That there aren't some that dump pills, rail coke or pull cones? Or that engage in other unsavoury shit?

I've always considered myself a fairly tolerant fellow; willing to turn the other cheek to people whether they be lid-riders or liberal voters.
