Watch: Primo Peahi
Though this northern hemi winter got off to a flyer, holding much promise for a season to remember, it hasn't met its potential. There's been no shortage of swell, however the fault largely lies with local winds: The XXL swells have all been marred by north and northwest wind making a mess of open-ocean spots like Peahi.
Videographer Tucker Wooding had to reach back to last season, January 11th 2023, to recall the last truly great day at Peahi. It wasn't as big as it gets but it couldn't get more perfect.

Jeepers...the Tyler Larronde bodysurfing at 40secs... would've loosened him up. Albee Layer the King of Peahi??
Hardcore surfing is amazing, pushing the limits.
tho the above seems like snowboarding at max speed with an avalanche chasing you.... except the exceptional Chumbo & Kai whom are (pre-Olympic gymnastic big mofo wave surfing) champions
So good when music choice makes a vid even better.
