Alright! We have recently added the ability for users to log in to Swellnet using their Facebook or Google credentials.
Why?
Well, unless you've got a useful tool like 1Password (recommended from me), remembering passwords is annoying, and risky. And because the majority of users have a Google (i.e. Gmail) or Facebook account logged in all the time, it's a much more efficient - and secure - way to log into Swellnet.
This functionality is certainly not new - a lot of websites have offered this way of logging in for quite a while.
There's also no need to use the facility if you don't want. Regular email or username with password will always be the default method.
In order to attach your Facebook or Google account to your Swellnet account, just click on 'My Account' (here), and then select 'Edit Your Account Information'. You'll see it down the page.
