After failing to cough up enough money to build a bronze statue, residents of Cocoa Beach have chosen a different way to immortalise their most famous resident (Kelly Slater not Chasey Lain). The statue was to show Slater performing his trademark forehand snap.

All is not a loss however. In a production tentatively titled 'Stretched Like a Wizard's Sleeve' Cocoa Beach's finest dancers and ballerina's will reinterpret that famous move, and at a greatly reduced cost to the city!

Hank Fitzpatrick is a third generation Cocoa local and works for the Brevard County Council. He puts aside every second friday night for dance troupe and is working hard on his interpretation. He's hoping 'Wizard Sleeve' could be his big break into amateur ballet.

Dennis 'Dee' Pierce works construction and has only come to ballet recently. The aerial leap is his own twist on the move and with it he's hoping to catch the choreographers eye. He's not sure how it will go with a surfboard under his feet however.
