Wanted peoples thoughts or experiences if an indoor fire place drys out surfboards. As fireplaces are know as a dry heat my old man reckons that if my boards are left in they same room it’ll dry them out too much

Whaddya mean "dry them out too much"?

If your boards are watertight then as as soon as the drips dry, that's it, they can't dry out any anymore.

Or are you using the heat to dry out dings..?

Very low humidity in houses can cause damage to porous things. Maybe the old man meant damage to floor boards? :)

@ stunet He was talking any chips and cracks in boards will dry board out and show imperfections or ruin foam if say I use it and store “dry” it out.
@Coaster Nar not about floor boards dry my house is in a damp area and we want to dry it out.
Eat your vegies. I wish I had a wood board
Megzee I do reckon but it’ll ruin my winter wax from heat
