Looking for advice on when you’d be most likely to score pumping J’bay.
Anyone who has been or just knows the place well, if you could pick two weeks of the year to go when would it be?

I spent a few weeks there in June/July 95'. Plenty of swell on and off and consistently good winds. Just find out in advance when any comps are on so you aren't there then. If you picked a 2 week window at that time of year you'd be pretty stiff not to score.

Late May is a good option with less pros and windless sunny days with waves.

And if the crowds become a problem just take your time and drive north some 400km up the coast and you will score setups just as mind blowing.

I hit it in September quiet a few years back and scored the swell of the year, pretty much maxing out on the bigger sets, but geez it was busy, they all flew in for it (Twiggy et al), it was a bit like Norths on a good day trying to get a wave, very difficult but possible. I reckon anytime from April to October you will have a good chance of scoring some sort of waves, I found it to be better in the 3ft to 5ft size (less crew, more relaxed, and super fun).
