Big news from Quiksilver - long time CEO Robert B. McKnight Jr is stepping down after 21 years at the helm. Bob also co-founded Quiksilver in 1976.

Bob will be replaced by former Disney executive Andy Mooney.

A quick wiki check unveils that he is credited with turning the Disney retail business around and pioneering the 'Disney Princess' concept including the Disney Princess line of upmarket wedding gowns. The idea apparently came to him while attending a Disney on Ice show.

Will we see a new range of Roxy wedding gowns? How about the O'Neill Coldwater Classic being replaced with the Quik blades extravaganza, featuring Kelly Skater?

With all fairness, he does have a background as a rag-trader with Nike, but I wonder if he has ever dipped a toe in the water?
