How much are surfboards in Hawaii?

I going to Hawaii and want to know if it's cheaper to buy a longer board here (6'8" to 6'10") and take it over, or whether it's cheap enough to buy a board over there.

Everything else is more expensive in Australia these days - does the same apply to boards?

ricco, there's an equally good reason for buying a board when you get there (price notwithstanding) - they local shapers are in tune with their own waves and will have something perfectly suited to the local conditions.
