I'm in the process of trying to organise a few demos and just wanted to hear from anyone who has surfed the chilli step down or lost sub driver boards at all?

I'm a slightly heavier bloke (82kgs) so would be looking at 6'3 or 6'4 options.

Mostly surf 13th or more tame Phillip island breaks.

I'm inbetween beginner to intermediate surfer.

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers.

If this is still valid. The Step Down. 6'0 for me at 75kg 185cm. 1st wave was a fattish left 3ft shoulder at Pt. Cartwright (1st wave there too haha) and it felt as if I'd been riding it for years. Feet knew where to go straight up. Really good all round for it's short life in spring/summer '12/'13, as it was a creased 2nd hand board. For some reason I have written down in my notes that it was "really suited to peaky 3-4ft and it's a bit of a struggle in anything else...genuine all rounder". wtf?

hmmm 1st wave there less than 2yrs ago? maybe my notes are lying to me
