Hi all,

A mate and I are travelling to Bali from Thursday to Sunday this week for a strike mission.

We are both experienced surfers and have an option of going to either Canggu or Ulus.

Ulus is forecast for 3-4 foot this weekend but unsure what this translates to Canggu as I believe Canggu picks up more swell.

Does anyone know at what size does Canggu close out and would it be preferable over Ulus over the weekend? I would prefer four foot beachies over the reefs at this stage.

Cheers
Koons

A strike mission for 3-4ft surf? Or is it more a 'last minute booking'?

Size should be about the same, perhaps a little smaller (depends on swell direction and period).

Strike mission sounds like something Joe Turpel would say.

You’re going all that way to surf onshore 4ft ulus or horrendously crowded poo brown Canggu.
Why don’t you head up the east coast and tuck into some cyclone swell?

I have to agree with all of the above, though swell size should be more 3-5ft on the sets, but very inconsistent.
