High Season at Teahupoo

On the other side of the lens were Teahupoo stalwarts Raimana van Bastolaer and Hira Teriinatoofa, young upcomer Tikanui Smith, and even visiting Irishman, Fergal Smith, who charged like a local. To see more of Russell's photographic work visit his blog.

West Oz Afternoon Delight

Yesterday we ran photos of the huge swell that hit WA two weeks ago. In the accompanying text I mentioned how the swell dropped dramatically through the afternoon, the implication being that, due to it's short-lived nature, it was a disappointing swell. Well, these shots are from that afternoon. As you can see there was no need for disappointment. All photos by Russell Ord.

West Oz Morning Glory

Two weeks ago West Oz was hit by the biggest swell of the autumn season. Yet as far as great swells go this one was a very short lived affair - by the afternoon it had dropped to just 4-5 feet. It may not even stack up as a one-day wonder but it doesn't detract from an epic WA morning.
