Dynamic week with a mix of swells and winds
Lots of varying swells this week but also with tricky winds.
Lots of varying swells this week but also with tricky winds.
Small to tiny swells with onshore winds at Thursday's peak. Better surf building later in the weekend and into next week.
For my money, Friday is the pick of the working week.
Peak in good SW groundswell tomorrow morning with good winds for Perth and Mandurah, average across the South West. Easing swell with lingering onshores Wednesday and Thursday. Large increase in SW groundswell through Friday, peaking with the longer-period energy Saturday but with less than ideal winds.
Tiny waves tomorrow, with a good new W/SW groundswell building Wednesday for the Mid Coast, holding Thursday with what looks to be favourable winds (check back Wednesday). Messy though sizey swell for the Mid from Friday afternoon through the weekend, building down South from Saturday.
Small to tiny tomorrow with local offshore winds. New W/SW swell building late Wednesday but onshore, possibly clean Thursday morning with some better W/SW swell on the build, clean and easing Friday. Building swells with westerly winds from the weekend.
We’re looking at easing short range trade swell sources, and a steady underlying long range E’ly groundswell originating from TC Josie, positioned south of Fiji earlier in the week.
Lots of interesting swell sources next week, though we’re still looking at a stubborn ridge of high pressure in the Tasman Sea, ensuring our near swell window remains relatively quiet.
Small infrequent E/NE groundswell through the weekend with a better S/SE groundswell for Sunday, easing through next week with a NE windswell for Wednesday.
Small clean SW swell tomorrow, easing Sunday as a new S/SE groundswell fills in. Generally small to tiny next week.
