A return to normal programming with a couple of marginal W/SW swells ahead of larger and stronger energy early next week.
The synoptics are pretty dynamic. We’ve got a rapidly deepening low off the Central NSW Coast that’s expected to deliver 40-50kt winds today, and in the process generate a hefty short range south swell for Northern NSW.
A bit more swell and windows of decent conditions through the mornings this coming forecast period.
Poor tomorrow ahead of some better swell from Friday, large later in the weekend and early next week.
A broad E'ly tending E/NE fetch on the SE flank of the Tasman Low will remain active all the way from Thursday through Sunday morning, but unfortunately it’ll be aimed towards Tasmania.
Building surf from Friday though best through the weekend ahead of some larger windy surf late in the weekend and early next week owing to the Long Wave Trough.
Gradual drop in XXL NW groundswell through the rest of the week, with some new weak swell for the weekend, ahead of a much more significant swell next week.
Good levels of E/SE swell over the coming days, easing with more N/NE and E/NE energy into the weekend.
