Back to looking dynamic next week. The crux of it is another very strong high moving at Tasmanian latitudes early next week. That will be the anvil for any hammer that forms next week.
The weekend will be windy and best in protected spots down South, with more options opening up into next week with a couple of fun new swells.
Tomorrow is a bit hit and miss but we've got favourable winds and fun swells due from Sunday through next week. The strongest pulse is likely Sunday morning.

Unfortunately the expected SE surge and strong high pressure with Tradewinds in the Coral Sea has evaporated next week so we’re at surf going back to tiny/flat from late this week into next week.
SE-E/SE swell is the main swell next week as the low remains slow moving in the eastern Tasman.
The fetch responsible for the current E swell is well out in the South Pacific and migrating eastwards with diminishing swells from that source.
A what looked to be fairly benign low has been upgraded with an upgrade in the swell outlook for the weekend.
The end of the week will remain onshore for the South West, improving on the weekend with a one decent pulse of swell.
