A low in the Tasman is moving north with a slingshot fetch of S-SE winds expected to rebuild wave heights from the S-SE later today and into tomorrow while a trough of low pressure in the Coral Sea is sending more E’ly angled swell into the sub-tropical Points.
The Mid Coast will be the pick over the coming days with fun South Coast waves continuing into the weekend and early next week.
A low in the Tasman is moving north with a slingshot fetch of S-SE winds expected to rebuild wave heights from the S-SE later today and into tomorrow while a trough of low pressure in the Coral Sea is sending more E’ly angled swell into the sub-tropical Points. The combination of low and high pressure is maintain a firm ridge along the eastern seaboard with plenty of S-SE wind.
The coming days will be workable but the weekend onwards looks good to great for selected spots.

The synoptic pattern looks unseasonal with a huge, slow moving high in the Bight, expected to be reinforced by another cell to create a blocking pattern below the continent and maintain a long lasting ridge up the Eastern Seaboard this week with a healthy trade flow developing in the Coral Sea later this weekend.
Although S’ly winds will be problematic until Fri there’ll some swell to play with as low pressure remains in the Tasman, with a slingshot fetch expected as the low moves N during the week and some sideband energy for NETas.

A trough in the Coral Sea accentuates an unstable SE flow in the sub-tropics and adds a local source of SE-E/SE swell into the mix north of Coffs. The high will be dominant right through into next week, as it slowly drifts into the Tasman, with some possibly juicy long range scenarios.
