Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 11th November)

Best Days: Monday in southern corners, Tuesday morning, Wednesday

Recap

Still nothing to surf the last few days but there's swell coming.

This weekend and n ext week (Nov 12 - 18)

As talked about the last few updates, an intense and dynamic low is expected to move in from the west over the weekend and as it does so, a fetch of strong E/NE winds are expected to be aimed towards us from tomorrow afternoon through the evening and through all of Sunday while sitting a touch further south but still in our swell window.

What we should see is a building E/NE windswell tomorrow afternoon (tiny early), reaching 3-4ft+ or so later in the day, with Sunday seeing stronger mid-period energy to 4-5ft or so.

Because the low will be sitting so close to us, winds will be tricky and variable, with strengthening E/NE winds Saturday and what now looks to be fresh onshore E/SE winds all day Sunday with the low a touch further north than ideal.

Monday should see winds swing more S/SW, and the E/SE swell should still be strong to 4-5ft, but ease through the day as the low moves off to the east.

The rest of the week revolves around how quickly it takes the low to move away, but we still should see fun amounts of SE swell Tuesday morning, with a possible small S'ly swell Wednesday.

More on this Monday though. Have a great weekend!
