Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Friday 6th December)

Best Days: Early Saturday morning, Sunday morning, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning

Recap

A small weak southerly windswell built through yesterday as morning offshores gave way to an onshore change. A peak in size has been seen this morning to 2ft, with W'ly winds providing OK conditions.

This weekend (Dec 7 - 8)

Today's swell will ease through tomorrow, but a small S/SE windswell should be seen into the afternoon ahead of a groundswell Sunday from a deep low pressure system stalling off the East Coast tomorrow.

There's won't be much size though and the East Coast will offer the best waves.

Next week (Dec 9 onwards)

A change in weather patterns next week will see a series of polar fronts firing up towards SA and Victoria, which isn't the best for us as each system will push too far north.

In any case we should still see small and fun levels of W/SW swell through Wednesday and Thursday to 2ft or so. Winds will generally be from the W/NW during the mornings favouring Clifton, with onshores into the afternoon.
