South Australian Forecast (issued Wednesday 6th November)

Best Days: No good days

Recap

The South Coast offered fun waves from mid-morning up until the early afternoon yesterday as a warm offshore kicked in cleaning up a fun mix of swells. Today a new long-range SW groundswell is filling in and conditions are again great with offshore winds.

Short Term (Nov 7-8)

Make the most of today's waves on the South Coast as a late onshore change will spell the end of the recent run of favourable conditions. This change will be related to a trough moving in from the west and behind it a strengthening high pressure system will stall in the Bight (right). This will direct a persistent onshore wind into the South Coast for the next week or so while also kicking up some junky S/SE windswell.

It's worth mentioning a good SW groundswell in the mix tomorrow afternoon and Friday, offering tiny 1ft waves on the Mid Coast for beginners.

This weekend (Nov 9-10)

Give the surf a miss this weekend and get some other chores done as fresh S/SE winds will continue on the South Coast while the Mid will be tiny to flat.

Longer Term (Nov 11 onwards)

A fun pulse of S/SW swell is due Monday but this will again be spoilt by onshore winds. Beyond this a long-range W/SW groundswell is due later Wednesday and more so Thursday next week as winds improve due to the ridge moving off to the east. We'll look at this again on Friday though.
