Cheapest, safest way to ship a 9' longboard from Sydney to Sunshine Coast (Australia)
There's a couple of surfboard freight companies around.. can't think of their names offhand but I'm sure someone will add in more deets here.
There's a guy that does runs to and from the Sunshine coast to Sydney transporting boards, I have his card at home I'll try remember to bring it in tomorrow John I think his name is

Have used Surf Cargo for a number of years now and they have been really great and super reliable!
John at Board run is good and cheap. $50 for a shorty and $60 for a log. Not sure you'll get it as quick as you want from anyone though.
Surf Cargo stops @ the Goldy.Board Run is Sunny coast based.

If anyone needs a Southern service theres a guy that does Sydney to W Gong to Sth Coast to Melbourne Geelong onto Warnambool area and return .

I have to ship my 9' longboard from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast. What's the cheapest, quickest, safest way to do so?!
I flew Jetstar from Sydney to Sunshine Coast, but couldn't find clear guidelines on the oversize baggage restrictions and ended up buying the oversized baggage and extra weight for board and crossed my fingers it would work. (They don't tell you what kind of plane you're really flying on but provide the measurements of each aircraft and it's confusing as hell but that's another topic). Anyway, they wouldnt take my board and I left it behind! They DON'T fly any longboards around my size so FYI to any one searching this!
