Early days the Zoo had a liquor license akin to a restaurant so people had to have a meal with their first drink. Always nice vego curry and always went straight in the bin. So much food wasted by most.
haha, we had a couple of those @seeds, the nicest I had of the 'meals' was a spoon of goulash off a disposable bowl at a Def FX gig at the Kent Town..
goog idea @seeds, cracking the jarlsberg now : )
(song for andy-mac, posted before, but seems timely):

&pp=ygUhamltbXkgYnVmZmV0dCA1IG8nY2xvY2sgc29tZXdoZXJlOh geez. A few years back I went on a 3 night trip up Teewah with old Briz housemates. The surf didn’t happen. It pissed down whole trip. And they had all got into yank country.
Never been so pissed. Off.

Hate to say they are starting to disappear here as well. Insurance, real estate development and NIMBY neighbours are taking a toll.
Rock on country music.
Meant to include this as well. All tracks from an EP (Country and Eastern) that I heard in my formative years that left a lasting impression. Still have the cassette lying around somewhere, and luckily still have a good tape deck.

A taster, obviously heavily influenced by Sgt Peppers era Beatle's.

Hold my head
We'll trampoline
Finally through the roof (finally through the roof)
On to somewhere near
And far in time
Velouria
Her covering
Travelling career (traveling career)
She can really move
Oh velveteen
My Velouria, my Velouria
Even I'll adore you
My Velouria
Even I'll adore you
My Velouria
Say to me
Where have you been
Finally through the roof (finally through the roof)
And how does lemur skin
Reflect the sea?
We will wade in the shine of the ever
We will wade in the shine of the ever
We will wade in the tides of the summer
Every summer, every summer, every
My Velouria
My Velouria
Forever green
I know she's here
In California (California)
I can see the tears
Of Shasta sheen
My Velouria, my Velouria
Even I'll adore you, my Velouria
Even I'll adore you, my Velouria

Nice, start the day with Pixies, awesome!
I think Alfred tried to post this back up the page.
Jelly posted White Rabbit earlier.. check out The Little Bits - pre-teen candy screamers rocking Louisiana the same year, guided by their dad, adored by local teen girls who made them feel awkward, and chased by haters with scissors after gigs. They prove Hanson sucked.

Awesome, toto have never sounded so good!
A good theme for the weekend: wildly different bands covering each others songs. Will have to think about this. Good one seeds.
Black keys vs Iggy and the Stooges. Plus more Weezer doin Toto.
One of those days, one of those weeks. Under the pump and one step forwards two steps back kinda weeks/days.
Came home this arvo and learnt the rhythm guitar on this one, turned the volume right up and played it loud. Feel much better now. Fun song to play for those with an axe.
Great lyrics and hopefully if anyone else has had a hell shit week, this one pumps you up too. Yew.

Schlocky and cartoonish, yet towering and majestic.
Phenomenal debut album.
They're playing it down the road here but I've put a personal fatwa on seeing old bands do young things.
Not sure how this will play out.
Fair nough, like a good personal fatwah. I haven't seen them live since the mid 80's (supporting Lou Reed of all things) so wouldn't mind a revisit. One of the all time first albums for sure.
for Optimist & PoppaD - may the wind be ever at your back : )
Hey Base 6
Thanks so much for U good wishes and posting Rise !
Gee I love Johnny and admire the bloke .
Have done way too much Anger over the last 8 Years , due 2 Work and stopped .
The song reminded me how much Energy is in Anger .
No one Sang with Anger , better than JR , imho .
Nice to B reminded that Anger can also B positive , some Things are really Worth Fighting 4 .
I still have a lot of Fight and will have a Crack , like U !
cheers @PopD, I only thought after posting, that bit of the Irish Blessing is possibly not a good bit to wish upon a coupla surfers! Here's a Punjabi feller (might be sponsored by a Johnnie by the look) with pretty good flow to counteract any whammy i may have rattled:

The best of 2017 / 15 tracks of the Year UNCUT.
Rated 3.31 / 5 by 9 listeners #864 CD for 2017
Ok! Sounds a bit suss that a combo of 15 best tracks can only rank #864
Video's are also bland like watching & listening a 2017 Readers Digest Compilation
Each MOR track was more MOR than the Last...every note / vocal tone all set to mid range!
Either Folk / New Wave or Chic all sounded equally as bland.
Not a bad guess tbb...
It's actually a rare Free CD from Jan 2018 UK Mag [ UNCUT] (Take 248) Issue
Oh Wow! Gotta be worth a fortune then...

Still got that road to nowhere shoe gazing Ride ethic
[ pickerupperers feel slightly rewarded to reward it = 3.31 Stars ]
Local Scumlord tbb : We feel we did the World a favour by keeping this kinda filth off the street!
The Band is called Slowdive performing a live version of their "2017 Hit" Star Roving
Ok...sounds a bit like Ride & was cool enough...
We got not one but 2 Mystery Tracks...
Only fair not to blow their Mystery Trax cred...
Trax are not standard & well off key...that's why tbb is sharing...
Kinda keeping that prog tradition alive...so that's a cool thing [ Rating : 3.31 Stars each ]
Well...what ya expect from nothing but piece of roadside trash...
Reckon these bands 'd be stoked with some punk's rubbishy Rock & Roll send off!
I am lookin for tonite's musical rabbit hole. It's 0100 where i am and looks to be a quiet shift. Plenty of time to catch up on the admin tasks that stack up while i care for patients. I checked out Ride just now, but i need less noise, more mellow for the work in front of me. Am gonna try Vance Joy, but know nothing of him. Any other ideas? A nice, mellow bit of Aussie music? I had listened to Richard Glover for bout 15 mins. Liked it, but all songs too similar and now looking elsewhere.
Try The Audreys. Sweet vocals.
Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
