Small N/NE groundswell tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday across the North Shore, with a better NW groundswell Thursday and XL swell later Friday/Saturday. Lots of swell for Micronesia and PNG, likely large mid-late next week.
The models have marginally increased the size and strength of the anchored trade flow south of Fiji and New Caledonia for this week, which will maintain small levels of east swell right through into the weekend.
Tiny all week until Friday when a small NE windswell develops. Acute S'ly swell for Sunday, better Monday as it eases under offshore winds.
A secondary front trading behind this low looks a little better positioned with strong SW winds expected to nose into the lower Tasman Sea on Thursday. This should generate a slightly bigger south swell for Friday.

The weekend’s Tasman/Coral Sea ridge will be anchored across the Central Queensland coast by a coastal trough. This is expected to weaken early next week, and at the same time a new tropical depression is expected to form south of the Solomon Islands.
Saturday will see a combination of swells: initially a continuation of the slow peaky E/NE energy showing today, plus a small long period S’ly swell generated by a vigorous mid-week Southern Ocean low passing well south of the continent.
