Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 15th July)

Best Days: Tuesday and Wednesday south magnets

Recap

No surf over the weekend, but our better S'ly swell for today has come in with fun waves across the coast with improving winds for the magnets into this afternoon.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Jul 16 - 21)

These notes will be brief as Ben is on annual leave.

Today's S'ly swell will ease back into tomorrow morning, but another front pushing up and through our swell window this evening and tomorrow will generate a building S'ly swell tomorrow.

Building surf to 3ft+ is expected across south magnets into the afternoon, easing from 3ft or so on Wednesday but only slowly.

Conditions should be good most of tomorrow with a W'ly offshore, great Wednesday morning and NW ahead of a mid-afternoon W/SW change.

This change will be linked to another front pushing up and past us but it looks weaker and more zonal resulting in less size Thursday morning.

A small 2ft wave may be seen on the south magnets, fading through the day but with favourable NW winds.

Longer term there's nothing significant on the cards with the storm track being too zonal. Therefore make the most of the coming days.
