Swellnet Dispatch

Well what a run of swell!

After the Australian Open of Surfing ended in clean 3-4ft waves, the Sydney coast fell under the influence of a deepening Tasman Low with large stormy swell developing early last week.

It wasn't really until Thursday that conditions really started to turn on around Manly, with the swell starting to swing more to the east as winds shifted offshore.

The beach fired from early afternoon Thursday and continued to do so right through until the weekend while the surrounding reefs and bomboras also provided challenging and heavy waves for those willing to take it on.

Here's a few shots taken around the region during the peak of the swell event.

Yeah he did! Got the best ones when I was watching. Had an epic surf with him at North Steyne earlier this year just pulling into endless left pits after a passing storm. Yew.
