1404446339.jpgAs part of Duke's Day this coming January at Freshwater Beach, Jack McCoy will be presenting his award-winning film A Deeper Shade Of Blue. Admission is free, so come and watch it outdoors on a massive HD screen. There will also be an amazing opportunity for an emerging filmmaker to win a Panasonic GH4 camera valued at $2,999 in the Duke's Shorts Video Exhibition.

All you have to do is create a short surf film telling a story in the most creative way possible.

The Duke's Shorts guidelines are simple:

•  Films to be 3-5 minutes long.

•  Tell a story that includes "our community's love and respect for the ocean and the environment", and/or something that includes Duke Kahanamoku.

•  Enter your high res QuickTime file of your film before December 10, 2014.

The finalists will have their films shown before A Deeper Shade Of Blue with the winner of the camera being announced on the night.

Why is Duke’s Day so special? Maybe that can be the theme of your short film. Over the next few months we’ll be telling you what all the stoke is about. Till then, check out more of this great prize:
