I have one. Only just getting used to it. It's a great board. Only ridden in wally waist to a bit overhead beachies. I'm loving it. It would definitely work for getting in early, not sure about sucky waves (it's quite wide, though tail is pulled in) but there are a few Youtube vids of them being ridden in suckier waves.
