Can't but help have the feeling that it's only a maybe that this is all organic. What are the chances the visuals are deceptive? Hmmmm

The china stuff is a central part of the plandemic ;)
When the west proudly exclaimed that âwe need to learn to live with covidâ, the government endorsement was not just about lessening hysteria and returning to normal, it was done with full knowledge of ccp doctrine and ongoing mandates and lockdowns that remained in china.
The containment measures drive populations crazy. It is inevitable and proven. In china, as long as the covid hysteria ensues, a level of discontent and growing anti authoritarian sentiment will prevail - and the beast that is china today can only be conquered from within. The US procured and delivered the virus to china.
It has been a master stroke of bio warfare, and may be an absolute success - that is, as long as the chinese government holds its inbred zero policy course âŠ
The west doesnât want conflict with china, and if the conflict can remain internal and keep being fuelled internally - then maybe the greatest gift of all we have given to the world is the democratic dance of civil disobedience ;)

https://m.

That's an interesting take on it Mr Flater, wouldn't put it past them; we're at the stage of 'who knows?' now as it's a political information war on the topic. If it were one or the other, no difference as in both cases it's their own citizens who suffer. No side are cute fluffy teddy bears. There is a history of China falling back in itself/turmoil from within and the Party would also know this very well, and be determined that it doesn't happen again.
I guess my point is that we are in historic times right now, so much happening so fast, pieces in play.

Haha, youâve never worked in government have you JF?
Your faith in the ability for them to pull off complex conspiracy and deception is at odds with reality. Especially at a global scale.
Iâd say that theyâre better at creating the narrative around what is happening more than actually creating the scenarios. Not that they donât try. All of them.

Lockdown in Hong Kong was very excellent strategy for Xi to keep people in line.
Good also with the painful real estate crash happening to calm the people losing 30% + of their wealth
Quarantine is also excellent for removing trouble makers.
So all good for Xi.
Just not so good if locked apartment buildings catch fire.

Glad u got a chuckle etarip ;)
I agree with the narrative creation, thatâs probly a certainty. Narration control, accuracy or success is another thing altogetherâŠ
There is no faith here in the ability of government to pull off âcomplexâ conspiracy and deception - the fact that it may be something they have done or will try to do is a definite consideration.
And if the proposed narrative IS the deception itselfâŠ. then the possibilities are boundless ;)
Government departments at all levels lack cohesion, transparency and accountability. We could say that in itself is a conspiracy ;) We could also propose that this environment is conducive to effectively facilitating and promoting not only the enactment of things such as emergency lockdown measures but also the prolonging of the enforcement of such measures.
Performance is sometimes measured by not how well you actually do something but by how well you did a task according to fulfilling the orders given ;)
Believe what you are toldâŠ
The idea is not complex. The propaganda machine is not complex.
- the reality is.
The complexity exists in the application and management through emergency mandates and fluidity of newly invented laws. There is no ability on the governmentâs behalf - no skill - just the assurance of enhanced bureaucracy, red tape and, as a result, legal coercion. That works in their favour.
The complexity also lies solely not within the governmentâs âdesignâ, but in the players⊠the manipulatorsâŠ
Think media, think medicine, think lawmakers and law enforcement and security ;) Yet is this by design ? Are these all tied to government ? Are they representative of government ? Are they all somehow dependent on government ?
The genius of it all might just be in the âplayersâ who unwittingly fuelled and fanned the flames of the pandemic through simple participation.
- Civil obedience ;)

Narratives are amazingly easily spread if you get a simple message right and then have it repeated in a thousand newspapers or news broadcasts.
A top-down spread of carefully written press release from Reuters, for example, to the thousands of outlets world-wide for them to publish as is, or rehash, is all it takes. The same ten second grab of the approved leader commenting on the hot geopolitical topic of the day "magically" appears on every channel's news - jump between channels and even countries news segments and there it is!
I was at the pub the other day and a particular hot topic came up and an intelligent friend repeated to me the same simplistic (and deflecting from the nuances of the events) one liner that was doing the media rounds in preceding days - exact same words and phrasing. It was an effective conversation road block and signal to me on where any discussion would end up - so back to the safe space of surf talk we went. The narrative makers would have creamed their jeans in delight.
Another friend watches CNN a LOT. His views on everything are totally moulded by their narratives on pretty much every topic. Unfortunately, listening the non stop barrage of intense panels of talking heads does little for his peace of mind.

I donât disagree with you.
That narrative spread works both ways. Youâre as much an example of that as your CNN watching mate. I donât mean that as a personal insult, just an observation that many if the points youâve raised in these forums are propagated widely too, often with the same absence of critical thought or basic investigation.
Just depends on your media outlet of choice really.

" I don't disagree" = you agree. I think that is twice now!
Most of my views on cause and effect are not particularly different from what one would expect based on what the US says openly about their geopolitical strategies and actions.
They say they want to achieve X and a series of events happen in that direction so they probably they did some of Y to make it happen. Often they straight out say they did Y in some forum but spin it as good or necessary or bury it in other news. Logical - not as absent of critical thought as you assume.
I browse far more widely than you think. We all have our own framework for making judgements. Mine are fairly flexible.
I read a lot of macro financial stuff (which often spills over into geopolitics) and events have taught me not to have too many fixed views on events, narratives or cause / effect. There is huge complexity, randomness, smoke and mirrors everywhere especially where big money and politics is involved. In investing, if you just read mainstream Bloomberg or the WSJ or stick to your set framework without also looking other viewpoints you will be blindsided time and again.
We probably agree on far more than you think.

Trump still whinging he was robbed. If he is the republicans pick for 2024 , is this his strategy for re-election ? If he doesnât win , does he scream he was robbed again and civil war breaks out ? Going to be some angry nut cases getting around .

Travelling in the US at the moment. Blown away by large billboards focused on countering anti-semitism off highways.
One I saw this morning in Florida:
âCan a billboard stop anti-semitismâ
âNoâ
âBut you canâ - JewBelong
What has this place come to? Why does this message need to be reinforced?

Poor Donny has a bit on his plate besides the election being stolen from him . https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/12/06/trump-companies-...

So he's back on twitter? lol

US forces give the nod......
From Guardian:
"More US forces to be present in Australia
The US secretary of defense, Lloyd Austin, is up next.
Austin says there will be an increase rotational presence of US navy and army troops in Australia. It will see more US air, land and sea forces in Australia.
He says US and Australian âmateshipâ is important for global security.
Our mateship will stand as a bedrock of future peace and security."

That's interesting. I assume it's the free market kind of thing with billboard advertising so someone is financing it. I guess it's coming from various Jewish associations, it's a sad state of affairs if they have the need to do that.

update to Elon's purchase, it looks like he's going after spam accounts, and developing tools to show views, make it easier to go through threads, wants to improve signal to noise - and the politics includes polls he promised, and he's given air to Matt Taibbi's "Hunter Laptop" story. He's fired a Mr Baker from legal counsel too; it looks like the purchase is also a political/statement one.
Can't see Trump posting at present.

Apartheid is a sad state of affairs. Just ask a Palestinian. Maybe thatâs why they need a bit of positive propaganda.

@flollo - yeah, itâs funded by some kind of social group / association - the sponsor was in small writing at the bottom of the billboard just couldnât read it.
@soggy - I donât see a link between US domestic anti-semitism and US views on expansionist Israeli (proto-Zionist) policies. Itâs almost an awkward bedfellows situation between the far-right polity that supports Israel unquestioningly from a foreign policy perspective but targets Jews domestically.
Anyway, it was intended more as a direct observation from the US - and something Iâve never seen in almost 20 years of travel here. Iâm not in Florida now, and I havenât seen it anywhere else.

Clearly nothing to this laptop thingo

Never heard of this podcast before and media bias fact check gives it a low credibility rating with extreme right bias . Whatever heâs up to , the whole thing is just plain weird or is he another global mastermind like our own Scotty ?

Ha ha oh please if you believe this you are seriously gullible is just media click bait beat up demonisation of Musk cause he has gone from a leftie poster child to the lefts new villain.(for some strange reason)
Do a google search "follow the rabbit meaning" and it comes up with all kinds of explanations for the meaning but nothing about QAon on the 1st page(other than this trashy take), it's seems to be more a pop culture reference from the Matrix among other things.
This is like when some media gets a picture with someone doing some hand single and suddenly they are part of some white supremacy movement when there they probably don't even know there is alternative meaning for the hand signal as dont get involved in conspiracy type stuff, to me this type of thing is a form of nutty conspiracy theory type trash or just being misleading on purpose to demonise him either way its pure trash.
