“Just had a Black Hops Chair Force One which was rather tasty. Stout with coffee and chocolate.”

Sounds intriguing & tasty Andy! Cheers.

“Thus we were put onto the joys of CUB's finest and haven't looked back. Tastes as good as anything the local micro-breweries can concoct and being one third the price means we can drink four times as much.”

I like the sound of a quality, well priced stout. Will also investigate this. Cheers Stu.

If in Vic, MP area, there are a couple of local rippers, Boatrocker Stout and Dainton Mocha Espresso. Bright Brewery chocolate stout is also A+.

Ha Facto, you just gave me a very fond memory.

My very dear friend and now ex-wife bought a large house in the leafy North Shore of Sydney and I rented a room from them for a few years. Anyway, most of our free time was him and I and her dad renovating- paving, painting, landscaping etc. And during that time we sank copious amounts of piss, carton after carton of beer, dozens of bottles of wine.

I remember the garbo would come once a week and the recycling truck every second. Kuringai council gave every house a black plastic tub to put your bottles and cans in and you'd leave it out the front on the nature strip. The recycling truck would come around 4:30 - 5:00 am and you'd hear it making its way up the street stopping at each house. In the distance you'd hear kish, kish, kish growing a little bit louder each time it got closer to our place. I remember lying in bed just giggling to myself when it stopped out the front of ours. I swear for what seemed like five minutes it was just KISH, KISH, KISH, KISH, KISH, KISH, KISH dumping boxes and boxes of empties in the truck. God knows what the neighbours thought? Then it would finally drive away stopping at each single house as one kish per house faded into the dawn.

Good times- my mate and i still laugh about that. Sadly his harpy of an ex took the house. Place is worth millions now.

Just saw this.
Classic story. Talk of the street I’d guess. Is his harpy of an ex your ex also? I’m confused!

Anyone a fan of Killkenny's stout?
My friend in Gracetown loves and swears by it but im a bit worried i'll hate it, love a stout though, even sometimes a Guinness occasionally.

On the heinekens again today, gave up my beer free diet as things are getting boring here without surf lots of rain, wind, getting bored of computer games and music..No fishing rod etc.

I like it but it’s not a stout. It’s a red ale. Also it’s creamy head just like Guinness cans or on tap is from gassing with with Nitrogen gas instead of CO2. Smooth, creamy, less gassy and less bitter.

Seeds, my best mates ex-wife, not my ex. Amazing artist, awful person.

Yeah Kilkenny is creamy and goes down better than Guinness I reckon.

Coopers stout I'm not a fan of, even ice cold which normally makes any beer good.

I always end up going back to Tooheys Old. I can drink it any time of year. And it's the only beer I can drink if not ice cold.

Furphy tins were going down well for quite a while, until the last slab. Just wasn't the same

I'd love to just cant risk losing my apartment with no places available anywhere and can't afford to pay rent for six months and indo too.
Maybe if i move back over east or live with my mum or buy a van like Udo recommended and live in that while in oz.Looks like they're putting my rent up in six months or kicking me out either way is fine.

Ali baba brewing company.

I'm on my last can of Canadian club and cola before giving up the turps again.
Love Canadian club but $93 a case is way too much.

Scrap that, bought a sixy of Killkenny's, finally get to try it out. Pretty nice and i was truly wrong about calling it a stout before.
I'm no wine or alcohol connoisseur who knows all the types of taste descriptions(or with weed) but i will try it again some day.
