Worst England (series) batting performance since 1890.
@BD, we'll see how good we are next time we tour India... Should be an exciting series if we keep improving.

Most interesting thing for me from this game - who'da though Lyon was the only bloke in the team who can play a hook shot!?

England were truly shithouse all serious. Have a look what at the Aussie 8, 9, 10 and jack. All got behind the ball, did a good job as night watchmen, and had some really important partnerships.
England were the complete opposite. Shit techniques and a worse attitude. Gutless wimps gave them nothing.
That shit's unacceptable in park cricket down under.

What the fuck has happened to Australia?

The cops get called after the ashes winning Australian cricket team gets on it for a night and the copper actually tells them to go to bed!

That’s heavy.

I’d call them losers for looking so contrite but they probably realise that they’d get cooked by the puritans out there who’d demand they were canceled and their careers would be over.

Imagine the coppers saying that to Boonie!

Australia lite.

Craig...What Ball!
Us normal mental people see everything but the ball.
Note Virat's Tributes don't include this invisible ball in his Independence Day Photo frames?

Focus on that smoking hot Himalayan God whose Cricket Bat reverberates thru mountains
As a metaphor for Independence...tucked away front and centre curled in the Flag.

A rip on that Chinese Gig with Oz flag draped over our Dead bodies.
https://e3.365dm.com/20/11/1600x900/skynews-china-australia-goat_5189685...
Please tell tbb the crew see that there little Mountain God clasping his Thor Bat!
Also reckon that the carefully crafted Mountain range centrepiece is a symbolic heartland.
Perhaps tbb has had one too many Daggy Dad's Vax Bashes...Luv those little people...so funny!

The 4 finger salute is gesturing that the rest of us are animals...not them!
The other version is well dark with a foreboding figure with raised Club as if a National Flag / spear.
Note how their Chakra represents a Batsman's Strike wheel.
All are very aggressive for Nationalistic Indian Photo Shoots...hard to believe any were approved!

Then again...
SA never saw that invisible man who never finished one drink...not give Pat the rub all night long.
Never saw a dozen or so invisible [+] Vaxed AO players on TV breaching Oz Entry laws this month.

We decide if it's a Test Series of the Metaphorical & which Euphemisms to fearmonger!

Some more details emerging on that video: filmed by English coach Graham Thorpe at 6 am polis called when the players wouldn't follow instructions by staff including turn down the music. Over reaction, possibly, but wouldn't be too uncommon.

Just a storm in a teacup if you ask me. Must have been a slow news day or something.

Getting back to the cricket, I can't wait to see Australia play India in India again. Does anyone know when that's happening next? Should be a cracker of a series and a true gauge of how good Australia actually are.

Also South Africa are coming to NZ soon which should also be a good series. I'd back NZ to win, but South Africa are much improved. South Africa must be ruing losing Conway and Wagner to NZ. Those guys couldn't seem to get anywhere in SA, but flourished in the NZ system for some reason. I think NZ's greatest strength over the years has been nurturing talent from their small player base.

I think it was because the Captains, current and past, and senior players were not willing to continue under him. It would be hard to let all those players go. As in the round all game, it is the manager who goes, the talent hold the reins, and arguably rightly so. They are the people who actually went out, played and “won” the games and trophies.
I do agree it seems a shame, but apparently he is a bit on the intense side, Rubs people up the wrong way. He was offered a few options apparently, including a short extension, but politely declined. Reports are of England looking at taking him on.

gragagan's picture
gragagan's picture
gragagan Saturday, 5 Feb 2022 at 3:24pm

His record isn't that great: won 15 out of 27 tests, 11 from 22 prior to the Ashes; the India test series loss last year; losing limited over series to West Indies and Bangladesh.
You could argue about covid, player injuries, players unavailable because of cheating etc.
With regards to his intense coaching style, isn't that why they hired him in the first place? To get the team back on track after the sandpaper bullshit.
It would be funny if England snaps him up. He would be very motivated to beat the Aussies next time around...

Bad news g, Will was concussed again today. Makes it 11 in total. Maybe time to give it a rest, take up a sport with less chance of head injury. Poor sod.

Haven’t watched any of day 1 but if the pitch is a road that’s a pretty slow run rate. I love test cricket but it’s bloody hard to watch when there’s nothing in it for the bowlers. Hope it’s not a sign for the rest of the series.

Ive worked with guys/former cricketers who played with Warnie, the Chappells and others in their days before state and national selection and with retired international players at district level. lots of stories but none flattering, pre mobile phone days so reputations and so-called national hero status remains in tact. tbb can share vital info that does further link the 2 deaths & may warrant closer examination.
Please Relax! This is less about Vax but more about the unresolved effects of Covid in all forms.
Not exploiting this or other but both deaths are suspicious but for obvious reason.

tbb has self isolated for 3 years so picks up on this fact earlier & will share it.

Bulls : Marsh landed 10:05am > phoned from car 10:30am (soon after) Dave phones"Heart Attack"
Note: Marsh was soon again flown from Qld > SA. (Seems unusual to repeat such risk!)

Warnie flew to Island of Koh Samui immediately crashes & soon has a heart attack.
Of course all timelines & events will change but not Plane time > Villa check in.

Witnesses describe Car & Villa as perfectly normal & comfortable weather...nothing untoward!
Ok! Here's those obvious Link/s
Both senior Vaxed Legends had just arrived off plane flights.
Add that Warnie also previously had Covid > reckon Experts will back check Marsh for Covid!
Vax / Covid / Air cabin pressure > Heart Attacks...Skies are opening > might pay to check that!
Exactly wot tbb has done & the hunch paid off...Crew can be the judge!

These here Heart Attacks may just save further lost lives...
