Vaccinate or not

I was a little shocked at Alan Joyce (CEO Qantas) announcement that international travelers will be required to have a covid 19 vaccination in order to travel on Qantas flights . The government wanted to have mandatory vaccination but after the bumbling of its release ( it was painful to watch the delivery of that announcement ) they withdrew the mandatory part but it seems Qantas and other business may demand a vaccination in order to use their services. I’m not anti vaccine by any means I just don’t trust this government or a vaccine that has been rushed through. A jab followed by another jab followed by yearly jabs doesn’t sit well with me as I have never had a flu shot or the flu for more than 20 years. Plus I don’t want to give this shot to my healthy 4 year old daughter. She is up to date with all her vaccinations but this covid vaccine is new and not being around for decades like the others. Tuberculosis remains the number one as far diseases go and you don’t need proof of vaccination to travel so what is going on ?

Covid is now becoming a disease of the un vaccinated. Only the stupid are holding out for whatever reason they can use.

And it is all so unnecessary…if only people stopped and listened. There will always be a hard element that will never wake up..but more and more will do the right thing as the evidence is hard to reject.

Actually, we do have an idea of the long term effects. Scientific knowledge built over many years tells us there will probably be no longterm effect. Probably 99.9% accurate that there will be no long term effects.

Yet, some cling to tenuous %s to continue to promote hesitancy.

NSW has now reached 80% first dose , northern nsw lost alot of it’s Pfizer supply to Sydney, people who were actually booked in , had their appointments canceled. Once supply is reinstated getting to 90% could be a real possibility.

No Sypkan we are not. Polio was an early vaccine and the long term effects of early vaccines was less certain. Nowadays, not so much. We've had a 100 odd years of research mate.
We do know the consequences of not taking vaccines. It's bad sypkan. Lethal bad.
If people don't want to take covid vaccines they should stand by their convictions and not present to hospital when they inevitably get infected. This of course won't happen. The anti-vax imbeciles will get covid, many will get seriously ill, and most of those people will present to hospital. This will cost the general taxpayer a fortune, compromise other patients, and make life even more difficult to our hospital staff who have been heroic during this pandemic.
So fuck yeah. I have zero time for anyone pushing anti-vax messages. Nothing but a pack of See you in the Northern Territories.

New York Vaccinated Hospital bans Baby delivery.
No Vax ...No Humans...
Bully Vaxerz can spread WR Covid but have no idea on how to repopulate their brave new world.
https://www.foxnews.com/health/ny-hospital-baby-deliveries-maternity-wor...

Baby ward is closed on account "Actual Health Professionals" we're forced out.
Apparently Joe has just ruled that spreading more Covid is more vital than Life itself.
Turns out Commander in Chief Bully was wrong, yet again...

Most dedicated Health Professionals told Joe where to stick his Covid spreading Vax.
World over sees 20% of most dedicated Health professionals walk out...See Ya!
Also happening in tbb's Gold Coast ...all the most highly skilled are walking.
These 20% professionals know more about the Vax and frontline than any in their cities
https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=GCWEB_...

Fact of life > Dedicated carers / Soccer Mums / Community Leaders / Hardest workers aren't vaxed.
Sure! Can read it over & over in studies...but it's plainly obvious to any who care!
Takes all of 2 seconds to work out that nicest caring people, put themselves last...always.
Same in tbb's family / Town / City / Worldwide...

Guess What! Bullies will argue their way of the world & claim the opposite! Why? Because their Bullies!
Deceptive Covid sneezing Bullies keep labelling the World's upfront & finest as Killers & even worse.
Result!
Laziest wealthy Bullies now gotta make their own lunches & deliver their own babies...
Pretty sure they gotta Vax to cure that as well...if not, just press a button or some shit!

Hey Shorto, got a longitudinal study for that mobile phone you use?

What about the wifi running through your house?

The effects of screens on young eyes? And the same for language development?

What about the effects of social media on young minds?

E211 on our bodies..?

Point being, there are a great many things we don't have longitudinal studies on, many of them advocated without question so they're in frequent, widespread use.

And no, just because those ones are in use doesn't necessarily justify other non-tested technologies, however I think most people are capable of parsing the media and weighing the risks.

There's a part of me that's heartened Australians would take a leap of faith for the greater good. I reckon there's a little bit of old timeliness about it, something I thought was gone in the mad rush to replicate the inequality and violence of Libertarian America.

Then there's a part of me that's just very skeptical of the fashionable resistance to this vaccine.

In 2-5 years everyone will have had covid whether by Injection or infection so I don't really see the difference and don't know why people are hiding from getting vaxed now. Id rather a mild dose than the full charge. I do think that if you get it by infection you wont need to be vaccinated and shouldn't be penalised in any way...
It is what it is by then. The Oxford delivery method has been researched since the MERS plague. Unfortunately there is no hiding from this.

I wish that was the case Stok but I'm pretty sure the anti-vaxxer circus will go on.
Firstly, there's $$$ to be made mugging idiots. Lots of grifters are still working over the anti-vax / anti lockdown mob.
Secondly. The anti-vaxxers are the huge election wildcard. Palmer is actively courting the moron vote and it's significant enough to keep the corrupt and incompetent scum in power.
Finally, the anti-vaxxers will get covid causing mayhem on the hospital system.
These morons are still going to have a big impact for at least the next year.

Or is the reason that there has been the mother of all media campaigns scaring Ozzies into having the vax . The threats have worked with some on this site regarding surf trips .

The vax rates in older US whites is very high , violence very low . The Blacks vax rates are very low at 10% .

Not an example to enable you to think better of Australians . I can give you a few others that show me that Australians have not "gone" the depths of the US . You can start with violence rates if you like .

No media campaign, if anything they have overused the very small adverse vaccine reactions and caused vaccine hesitancy. Considering the slight risk involved, the airtime given and clickbaiting used was out of proportion to the risk. Luckily Aussies are in the majority pretty smart and are stepping up to do the right thing…leaving a stupid, angry bunch of idiots that refuse to accept facts.
