Vaccinate or not

I was a little shocked at Alan Joyce (CEO Qantas) announcement that international travelers will be required to have a covid 19 vaccination in order to travel on Qantas flights . The government wanted to have mandatory vaccination but after the bumbling of its release ( it was painful to watch the delivery of that announcement ) they withdrew the mandatory part but it seems Qantas and other business may demand a vaccination in order to use their services. I’m not anti vaccine by any means I just don’t trust this government or a vaccine that has been rushed through. A jab followed by another jab followed by yearly jabs doesn’t sit well with me as I have never had a flu shot or the flu for more than 20 years. Plus I don’t want to give this shot to my healthy 4 year old daughter. She is up to date with all her vaccinations but this covid vaccine is new and not being around for decades like the others. Tuberculosis remains the number one as far diseases go and you don’t need proof of vaccination to travel so what is going on ?

Yeh it's an interesting one isn't it, and really all of this is just setting up to be a conspiracy theorist's dream.

Similar to you I've always had my vaccinations, as have my kids (youngest just had his latest yesterday actually), so am as far from anti-vax as you can be. But certainly for kids in particular with what we've seen with covid, it really doesn't impact them, so in essence you'll be jabbing your kids to try protect others, which to my knowledge will be the first time in history where your kids will be getting vaccinated less so to protect them, moreso to protect others. I get it's not as simplistic as that, but all the data on kids dying from covid certainly makes it seem that way. For that reason I'll probably be holding off on jabbing them until I have no other choice I reckon.

Then as for adults, I've had the flu shot via work maybe 5 times in the last 15 years and never had the flu, I'll probably get the covid vaccine if I have to (to travel), but if not needing to travel then I dunno, certainly something about the rushed time to make this thing makes me want to sit back and see how it goes for others first, let a few batches roll through! I won't be first in line for it that's for sure...

I guess the other thing that would be interesting to see from Qantas/Joyce is what that stance means for domestic travel. You can still spend anywhere from 1 to 5-6 hours on a flight within Australia, and you'd have to think any amount of time on an aircraft more than an hour or so carries similar risks.

Whatever happens, with the covid numbers as they are in Europe/US, really can't see international travel as a thing in 2021, whether that is people coming here or Aussies holidaying overseas then coming back without quarantine on return.

Comes as no surprise at all, you would expect many countries will also not allow people entry without proof of having the vaccine in a certain period.

If it means i can get back to Indo, i will take my chances with a vaccine.

This isnt the first time proof of vaccination is required to travel. Yellow fever is a similar example that most well travelled people should be aware of.

If you don’t get the shot you don’t get to travel. Might mean there’s fever people in the line up than usual. Fingers crossed.

Not only fewer people in the lineup, but no anti-vaxers!

Read into it however you like - you either trust the system (and listen to scientists, peer reviewed research, trials etc) or you don't (and listen to outspoken doubt casters, comedians, celebrity chefs etc.).

I find it really interesting he wants vaccinations for people to fly, but he can't (or won't) even get his flight crew to wear face masks...

is this a deadly virus or not?

I don't know, or feel strongly either way, I'm asking... because I'm done with the contradictions...

also, ol' joycey can't see any benefit, or need... to social distancing on airplanes, meanwhile garuda have taken measures to keep all their middle seats vacant.

again, is this a deadly virus or not?

Is social distancing effective and required or not?

I'm easy either way, but Im so so done with the contradictions...

and just btw, all of the above aside, is qantas the shittest non budget airline there is? or is it just me?

domestically, virgin shit all over them in so many ways. qantas staff are full of attitude and just generally shit, whilst virgin staff are great, helpful, friendly and nice (and kinda hot... not that should be a consideration...)

I've got to be honest, I havent flown qantas internationally for a long time, but comparing qantas to singapore airlines, or garuda, or even more budget carriers, qantas are just generally shit, shit food, shit staff, shit attitude... shit airline...

maybe the rainman stats make up for everything, but they just seem to be living off a past reputation to me and are poor value

I'm surprised Joyce made a pre-emptive move. I figured it would happen one way or another but as a govt mandate and not a private sector initiative. Now he's the latest name on the list that reads Epstein, Hilary, and Gates.

As for the vaccine, I don't feel strongly one way or another, which has been my disposition for most of 2020. Helps that I'm not rushing to escape the departure gates so I don't need to take the vaccine anyway. Just happy to see things moving along, with people soon able to travel beyond the national border.

Agree on the Qantas comments, can't recall the last time I flew with them, honestly think it was when I was a kid with my folks. They hold no appeal to me as an airline and that's got nothing to do with Joyce or their current covid stance. Usually just a cost thing, they are always one of the most expensive and I never understand why.

As I said, if it comes to the crunch I'll likely get the jab, but am in no rush to do so.

I’m not so concerned at getting the jab myself but I’m struggling with giving it to my 4 year old daughter only because who knows what the long term effects will be , there is a lot of backlash in msm about this decision . Side effects on the two vaccines Australia has purchased are fever and headaches but what about 10 years time as you won’t be getting jabbed once or twice it will be every couple of years. I only need to go to Bali as it will be 2 years in May since the wife has seen family and she’s getting very depressed about it. I can understand a lot of people will be lining up to get vaccinated so if the majority do why do the minority have to as well ( if they want to travel overseas ) as if your vaccinated then what have you got to fear ? For a disease with such a high survival rate compulsory vaccination for travel seems a bit weird but weird has become the new normal I guess.

I love QANTAS but despise its management.

I’ll happily pay for QANTAS as it means employing Australians at a decent living and maintaining the skill required to stop the planes from falling out of the sky.

When I’m on a QANTAS jet and the Aussie pilot welcomes me home as I fly back into Australia it’s a very nice feeling indeed. I wish it was truly our National carrier ( nationalised carrier ! ) and it saddens me to see the direction it’s taken the last couple of decades. It’s ridiculous that we don’t have a National airline when it’s really an essential service.

Management needs booting. Joyce is evil.

somehow, all those considerations about alcohol and health are just swept aside when it comes to your desire to get a little buzz on.
but when it comes to doing something that is good for society at large, then wooo nelly, even the whiff of unfounded harm, coming from the tin foil hat wacky conspiratorial brigade, and all of a sudden people are so concerned about their health and won't go near a vaccine.

Separately it seems amazingly convenient to the rich and powerful people that associated with Epstein that he committed suicide but presumably that in itself is the subject of a conspiracy theory.

Factotum said it best. The anti-vaxers are certainly far left and far right Indo. The pizza-gate, Hillary head of a paedophile ring, Obama wasn't born in America stuff and 99% of the rest of the conspiracy stuff comes from the far right. It's their breeding ground.

As for vaccine taking and international travel, we should all be hoping that the government insists on anyone coming here to have had a legitimate vaccine. If they do, the need for locals to get vaccinated will be moot provided there isn't another quarantine outbreak.

So nobody will be made to get the vaccination here. If you don't want it, don't get it. If you don't want your 4 year old to have one, don't take them to a doctor to get it.

If you want to travel internationally, get a jab, and again on return if it's a long break out of the country. If you don't want to get a jab, don't travel. Vaccine won't be an eternal barrier, likely to only last a few months on current information.

Sypkan makes a good point though, all the contradictions. Joyce is only looking out for number one and has been from day dot. His early announcements were unverified claims that nobody ever gets sick from airplanes (oh bull!), that the air is refreshed all the time through planes, (and yet somehow when they open the doors of an international flight the ground crew have to stand back as the stench of humanity wafts by.)

There have been many claims from international air travel companies that don't stand up to much scrutiny, particularly in the early phase as they saw their industry about to be shut down.

Personally, I won't fly Qantas if Garuda is available. Cheaper, better meals, more room. They're the national carrier in name only.

Trouble brewing with Pfizer Vax..(tbb advises all to read as we're getting this vax)
https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/12/suspicions-grow-nanoparticles-pf...

Standard = 1 case of anaphylaxis in 1m
UK 2 cases of anaphylaxis in 100,000
US 6 cases of anaphylaxis in 272,001 (Note: Forewarning & cases are rising)

This ranks Pfizer Vax 21.5 times more dangerous than Flu Jab.
A past recorded trial on a similar Cancer vax led to ...1 reaction in 2666 +(1 death)
So yes! This may get serious, very serious...read on!

A few weeks back tbb raised the issue of PEG...
Scientists said it was inert...Now 72% have antibodies fighting against PEGS.
Could be as high as 7% will have reactions to leading mRNA base goop.
Never tested for it at all...now they're up shit creek....

Aussies Petrovsky / Swan + Canada' Suzuki said mRNA PEG would bite back!.
Guess What?
Sept 2020 BioNTech "Chick" said to fuck that tacky PEG shit right off!
"Substantial disadvantages concerning activity & safety".

What is happening...
PEG is usually applied as a lotion or swallowed & pooped out but the vax gets in...
Mrs Marsh will explain the sciency bit...

Some of our immune systems register (inert) PEG as virus so fight back.
This means when they get the mRNA vax their body goes ape shit...stand back.
Top scientists..."It's not supposed to do that!"
"It's still good...It's still good!" .

What does it mean?
People are now guinea Pigs & are becoming frightened with each new alarm.
Here's one such alarm that will make you afraid...

**********************************************************************************************

A word of warning from chief Pfizer / Biontech brewer Janos Szebeni...
"mRNA vaccines require 2 shots, and he worries anti -PEG antibodies triggered by the first shot could increase the risk of an allergic reaction to the second or to PEGylated drugs!"

**********************************************************************************************
He's saying that his Vax is coming undone & we're all riding our luck with 2nd jab!
* Talk of screening (Everybody) before a 2nd Shot!
* CDC are warning more to avoid a 2nd shot.
* 2nd shot will require more observation & medical back up.
This will prove very costly by nature as emergency response must be on standby.

Do not believe the Pollies lies about it being safe! Listen to the guy that brewed it!

No! tbb would not joke about this! This is here & now & very real.
The shit has hit the fan & Science is blinded by inert Goop all over their faces!
Roll out will be delayed...

Due to alarming nature of article..tbb cross checked & will supply other links
Note: Nothing is certain so each article will read slightly different.
It is a breaking story but also changing...tbb can say that PEG is a dirty Word.

Its just such brilliant marketing on their behalf that now its not just them and the government 'selling' it, its your neighbor, friends and family trying to convince you.. And you know what, not once has anyone said it is 'good for you'. All they say is if you have it life goes back to normal and you can travel again yudda yudda... WOW... Its sold on FEAR... Its not going to make you healthier by having it, quite the contrary. Since when has injecting any foreign substance into anything made it healthier? You need to de-tox not re-tox. If you genuinely want to protect yourself and family, the answer is not in an injection.

I can tell you when, when it gives your body a heads up that it needs to learn how to fight a disease or virus.

like it or not vaccinations have saved millions possibly hundreds of millions of lifes through history, the deaths caused by vaccinations on the other hand or even major negative effects on the other hand are extremely rare.

Anyway luckily for your kids they are protected in Australia from most disease that vaccinations can be used against because other people have been vaccinated keeping infection rates low and in some cases non existent, however i hope you don't go traveling to third world countries because if you do the risk for them is much different especially of the beaten track away from a hotel bubble.
