New Victoria restrictions

Just watched the press release from Dan Andrews and I really feel for how victorians are going to once again pay for others stupidity. Not sure how they are going to police the 1 hour exercise policy but a trip down the coast for a surf could be costly. I understand these new restrictions are mainly Melbourne suburbs and I’m very grateful for where I live NSW Qld border. When we were in shutdown there was no time limit for our exercise thank god as a 3 hour surf kept me sane after losing my job.

tbb refers to Hillsong in a more Holistic sense.
Scomo rorts Hillsong their windfall from Govt contracts that supply vast property & investment from endless open ended non bid - locked in US Prez style contracts.

First thing you'll notice is Hillsong have hotwired every department in last 5 years.
The list of Hillsong flock heading up Fed Departments needs a separate Hillsong headed Inquiry.
They have fingers in every pie...(tbb : Hillsong Collection Bowl = Govt purse strings.
You name it...PM, Immigration, All Health services from Adoptions, Abortions, Aged Care, AAA, All resources from Water to Electricity, Police, Prisons (Incl -Gay Conversion Therapy) + Detention Centre Frontline Reform Services (A Hillsong specialty), NRL reform & mentoring.

This reaches OZ wide to Women's Prisoner Reform in Darwin even with selfies.
Hillsong love reforming our founding Mothers...

NT Women of newborns know not to report DV...Police throw Women in Jail then newborns -toddlers can't be trusted in kinship circles (NOT CLEAN / SAFE).
Poor Hillsong has to Adopt them to supply miracles for their flock...
Gets tiring playing God.
Kids spend their Childhood in Inner City Hillsong Day Care for elite Hillsong Flock.
Hillsong kidz are baptized, then recite the Hillsong Bibles of saviour from savagery.

If there is a Human Services Contract in your neighbourhood then chances are it already has the B&B letterhead...nuthin' suss!...How good is Hillstraya!

Gotta love Dan's rules don't you... Announced today about masks, that he recommends you wear them inside when you visit someone's house, and that mask wearing everywhere, including outdoors, will be required for the rest of 2020 and likely into 2021 all over Victoria.

So this weekend I'm booked into dinner at the pub down the road from me with a few mates, I look forward to walking down there masked up and getting inside to get on the beers, mask off. On ya Danny boy.

Seems fitting for the Houston Church.
Gary rode on stage on a motorbike, as he stepped off it bunny hopped on him and went off the front of the stage.

Seriously blowin, STFU.
The second wave in Victoria got out of control because people got complacent. It could have easily happened in Sydney.
We are seeing devastating waves through Europe and the USA and you're downplaying the seriousness of the virus. It's taken many months to get the virus back under control in Victoria and our economy can now start to recover.
Blowin, my partner is front-line medical and I have another mate just out of the chemo ward with low immunity. They would have absolutely no problem with me saying this on behalf of them, go fuck yourself.

Blowin, perspective. I did the drive into G town today and it was... pleasant. Not too much traffic, nice spaces between cars. It was like 10-15 years ago. Nice. Like the population ponzi, and everyone going flat tack over the last 5 years especially, had been paused.

Viccos true way out as an economy is to remember to value add, like it has done in the past. Tradies still look busy as the order book for entire new suburbs didn't stop, but the question is what afterward? I suppose we could all pour coffees for each other at a rate that leads to something like this:

Or, we could make things.

I've finally got a fashion mask now, no more ex-medical PPE for me, so looking resplendent and anonymous and only having slight annoyance at breathing, off I went.

VJ , we had that experience after our little lockdown effort and it was glorious. Then it went the other way completely once the lockdown restrictions were eased state wide .

If you’re anything like us , you will now move to a new normal of permanently elevated population levels in the regions. Every holiday home is now full all the time pretty much and the streets are always busy.

Still got to be better than living locked down in a grimy St Kilda share house and waking up each day to find someone has drank your milk even though it’s plainly got your name written on it in thick black texta.

Assuming they’re the only two alternatives of course.

PS ....The whole “ manufacturing revolution is already a bust. Scomo has written its death into every piece announcement he’s made for the last 6 months. Victoria will continue to be a net drain on the nation whilst the population still enjoys the false conceit of being a breed of movers and shakers.*

* Never forget that slagging Victoria is a sport here in NSW and the Mexican COVID fuck up was like a state of origin win.

Get ready for a November 7 Mexit. Get yourself up here VJ . You’ll be lonely if you’re the only person left in Victoria .

South Park [factcheck]...on covid zombies.
NZ 98.7% US 97.4 % (World 97.3%) Oz 96.7% Vic 96% Can 95.5% Tas 95%
UK 94.4% France 92.5%.... will remain.

[ For the record ] 2nd Sept Oz was last WHO [-] at 97.4%) or 2.6% mortality.
After crossing that line... Oz will pay everyday until we get back beneath it!

No one here believes US stats reflect the truth, but it explains Trump's Tantrum.
His hidden message is USA ain't paying extra insurance...stats stay 1 point under.

Note Oz / UK number higher than world standard mortality rates. (We're fucked!)

Yep good stuff Rabbits, Vic, especially the Melbourne crew, have done really, really well. It might mean an Australia open to itself, and being able to travel from Vic to the others... in time.

Blowin, I reckon the permanently elevated regions happened already, lots & lots of holiday houses were/have been occupied from March onwards. No biggie, as obviously the people were not infected when they came down. Around these parts, if holiday houses became primary abodes, not too much of a biggie either, the main population pressure is the extra 120,000 people being added to southern Geelong at Warralilly and Armstrong Creek. Some of them surf, so numbers in the water have increased. And again, young people want a house - choose southern ex-urbs of Geelong: or Bendigo or Kilmore... tough choice for surfers.

I've heard great tales of the kids friends doing the St Kilda milk house share wars, only in Geelong; one case I heard had probable personality disorder going schizo if anyone used her spoons...

Manufacturing revolution bust? Not in my little abode; it's only getting started :)

Mexit will be spectacular, and fast - the last 5 years has seen a preponderance of those $50 to $60,000 VW vans. Who needs a house when you have one of those. Be prepared...

It’s crazy how popular Van Lyfe has become now. Roads are chockas with everything from full luxe caravans to beat up patrols breathing black smoke.

I was having a chat to a young couple in a troopy the other day who have made it their home. They told me what they paid for it and I almost keeled over at how much I thought they’d been ripped off. No ,no they said, that’s what they’re worth . I went on carsales.com for a bit of a ganger and it’s indeed true. Second hand troopies have almost doubled in price I reckon.

Yep Troopies and Cruisers in general are up 30% at least. As far as people decking up vans or dropping 30 to 50K on one, well, if we go back, that was the price of a house for people in 1980s at a guess. Yes, affordability of the Australian lifestyle has fallen that far.

This was good

https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/melburnians-eyeing-life-outs...

"An exclusive Ipsos poll, commissioned by The Age and Nine News, found one-quarter of Melburnians are rethinking where they live because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The online poll, conducted between October 19 and 21, surveyed 858 Victorians.
Of the 646 who lived in Melbourne, one in 10 were contemplating a move to regional Victoria and a further 15 per cent were considering moving interstate."

""In Geelong the real estate market has gone up 5 per cent in value over COVID, which is quite extraordinary," says David Cortous, the director of McGrath Estate Agencies. "We’ve sold property to Melburnians over the last couple of months sight unseen. I don’t think anyone saw it coming – at the end of March we would never have thought we were heading into our busiest winter ever."

Matt Bowles, the director of DCK Real Estate, has worked in real estate in Bendigo for 30 years. "The number of inquiries we have got from people suffering under lockdown in Melbourne have just been astronomical," he says."

Distracted, this virus has created a savings boom for people with a regular income. Money isn't being spent on transport, nights out, cafes, sport, overseas holidays etc etc etc.
There's also serious (and often corrupt) money to be made selling covid-related products and services. Zoom meetings + spare cash = regional building boom.

Interesting reading VJ but not surprising. I've certainly amped up my search for a move out of the burbs as if we get an increase in cases next autumn/winter then with Dan still in charge we'll likely be back in lockdown.
However I'm wanting a little steam off the recent lockdown to come off before making the move, the market will be running hot right now for regional property, hopefully cools as people get to enjoy the city a bit more over summer and perhaps think city living aint so bad after all.
