New Victoria restrictions

Just watched the press release from Dan Andrews and I really feel for how victorians are going to once again pay for others stupidity. Not sure how they are going to police the 1 hour exercise policy but a trip down the coast for a surf could be costly. I understand these new restrictions are mainly Melbourne suburbs and I’m very grateful for where I live NSW Qld border. When we were in shutdown there was no time limit for our exercise thank god as a 3 hour surf kept me sane after losing my job.

Yep, and that has sucked extra hard as family members have had medical scares in the meantime and there's naught I can do from here to help.

But, flip side, I don't have to worry about mum ditting around shopping in Perth with a virus outbreak to contend with, so there's that.

Those are my selfish wants btw.

I'm glad my WA rellies can get on with their lives, everything I hear from them is life is pretty much normal, kids can pursue careers, sounds great tbh.

Once that Vicco border goes down I expect mini busses of Melbourne crew will descend on Blowin's town... :)

VJ....it’ll be like a plague of super spreading locusts.

Poor bastards deserve a break.

When I ever ponder the realities of life under Melbourne lockdown I imagine sallow grey skin victims , chain smoking durries whilst listening to Nick Cave and staring through a rain pelted window at a brick wall vista below a dark sky. Share house tragics like extras from an Alcatraz version of a John Birmingham novel running dirty on mull , goon and microwave food as they veer between homicidal and suicidal thoughts . Overflowing ashtrays and petty sharehouse bitterness.

Not sure what it with my visions of Melbourne life as some kind of unfunny Young Ones share house dystopia but it is what it is and I kind of like it that way.

You should really all be gifted a paid holiday anywhere in Australia as compensation and this dopey wok-eyed cunt should be forced to personally clean every house in Melbourne during your absence as the beginnings of an apology before he’s set adrift into the Nepean rip on a clumsily built raft.

Just my thoughts.

Dictator Dan ain’t no firey risking his skin to save someone else’s house, he’s a bloke who put 5 million people under unjustified curfew in order to shore up his political career after exposing the same 5 million people to unnecessary risk because of his incompetence .

Anyway....you’ll have your chance to vote him back in if you love your totalitarian authority so much. It’s your shit state , I just like to keep vocal in reverence of the old Niemoller quote when a politician starts taking a liking to umandated removal of human freedoms.

Ah, Blowin, sounding like a script from a Sky after dark hit piece. You and your tribal hatred.

Victoria's my state is it? Well, news to me that one.

I think we all know that your objection to totalitarianism or authoritarianism only extends to people who have opinions you approve of and does not apply to those whom you don't like.

As Vic's said above, you've been whipped into a mob - not unwillingly of course. A shining example of the tribalism you claim to disdain.

JQ-Whipped to a mob ?

I couldn’t believe my ears when a copper told me I had to go back to my house whilst I was quietly looking at the ocean without another human in sight during our little lockdown episode , let alone being under house arrest after some politician fucked up during his watch.

Not sure which examples of totalitarianism you think I’m OK with ?

Tribalism ? As far as I’m aware Useless Cunt Scomo and Dopey Wok-Eyed Dan are in opposing tribes whilst I despise both the evil fucks equally. They’re the ones who should be locked up .....in prison. Both created a problem through ineptitude and by prioritising their political careers over the electorate and then expected the electorate to suffer the consequences.

Seen the latest Ipsos poll blowin? Looks like most Victorians haven't fallen for the crap pushed by the Sky News after dark scumbags.
Despite News Corp, 9 and 7 chucking the kitchen sink at Vic Labor, Andrews is waaaaaaay more popular than O'Brien. There's a limit to alt right drivel. It attracts muppets like you, but it doesn't win elections.

“The results are based on a representative survey of 863 respondents (aged over 18) conducted online. The fieldwork was conducted between October 21 and 23 and the date was weighted to the state demographic profile.”

Sounds legit bro. Said no one ever.

People forget quickly, and after today's announcement I can see the frustrations turning to thank-yous for Dan.

But whilst I don't agree with a lot from the approach taken, I didn't see any other viable option. The commentators and Liberal backers were just taking cheap shots and riling up peoples emotions.

Either way, looking forward to being humbled in some chunky surf again, and looking forward to enjoying living in Melbourne again.

Many thanks.

CS1 you are missing nothing good down this way at present, day 3 of really strong SE winds. Surf is windblown chunks of mess and I didn't see anyone giving it a shot today beyond learners on the inside at most protected spots. In fact, I reckon the bay would have more manageable waves off this - but then I've always loved the novelty of spots that fire on unlikely conditions. I think we're SE for a week? Dunno about road blocks but I did see coppers checking plates in carparks locally.

Have any of you been surfing the bay in the last few days? Given huge high pressure system will make things nasty for all of this week, chances are it's gone by the 9th. Hopefully.

Melbourne lockdown saves Oz economy...

tbb did the number crunching from endless sites & all pointed to the impossible!
Don't mind saying that tbb outsmarted himself...
Geek comics already spat this out...'I know that now...fuckin' smartarse geeks!'

https://www.smartcompany.com.au/industries/retail/biggest-month-australi....

https://ia.acs.org.au/article/2020/victorians-break-online-shopping-reco...

To be fair on tbb...the real story is in the new Tax windfall, that Oz now profits from!

*90% of online shoppers haunt CBD's > That answers the Ghost Town Question.
So Melburnians are #1 Pro online shopperz > Shit hot Jeep Leader Keyboarderz.

Not so long ago...online shopperz dodged Govt Taxing & were branded elite snobz.
In just a few short years...Libs now run #1 Online Parcel Tax Rort 'In The World'.
CSIRO's batshitcrazy ShopMate's ship has just come in!

Each dollar Melburnians spend online > rewards 30-40% to Lib tax rort.
GST 10% on Sales / Ships / Air + Process / Cubic rort / Multi / # Ins'...Tax = 40%
Other countries salute Pure Evil... { Lib Gold Rorts Ltd - 0% > 40% Tax in 5 years }

Perfectly timed Bonus ramps Covid 180% windfall...Wow! So Lucky! Wot a fluke!
Scomo as world's #1 Covid -19 Racketeer..bet no one saw that coming?

Flu vaccines charge GST > (OZ Covid -19 Vax > heaviest Taxed Vax in the World?).
Maybe Scomo's ABC could enquire? Just joking...25m vaccines is not a big deal!

US Com Gateway charge > 13.5 % card fee + Trump's 7% Covid Tax or something?
Doubt if online shopperz would put up with 20% -40% Tax Hikes...(Say wot!)

Like as if Scomo sits on his arse to get paid Royalties from Dan's lockdown inquiry.
Don't go talking nonsense tbb...just where do you dream this shit up?

Life isn't as fucked up as you think it is! Anyhow! PM doesn't enjoy bludging off Vic.
Scomo : "Please Master Dan...could you order some more www Uncle Tobys Oats!"
https://p2d7x8x2.stackpathcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/g...

Melburnians overfloweth the Hillsong collection bowl so Oz brothers can rejoice!
Hallelujah Melbourne! Blessed be Saint Dan's charitable soup kitchen...Cheers Vic!
