I don’t think it’s a hoax. For certain it’s a genuine disease and irrevocably fatal to a tiny minority of already compromised individuals, but I reckon it’s been so purposefully overblown that it’s almost impossible to comprehend the scale of opportunism .

Everyone has jumped on board and taken this advantage to exploit a disease which probably kills and affects less people than malaria.

Yes , I think this will be exploited to create a first legitimate attempt at the one world government and a digital global currency, global digital ID etc . If you think we aren’t witnessing the melt up of fiat currency then look closer.

World Economic Forum is even basically stating as much , so it can’t even be classed as a conspiracy theory.

It’s more likely and more feasible than the oceans swallowing London in the next generation, that’s for fucking sure.

I've seen nothing in the stats and trends to indicate the next 6 months (at absolute best) aren't going to be a complete fucking mess in the USA and Brazil. We are talking about a medical disaster, crushed economies, high levels of violence, and potentially failed democracies. India and Peru are a mess too, but they aren't governed by complete madmen.
This is why I have zero tolerance for anti-science conspiracy theorists and racist bullshit artists. The mess in the USA and Brazil is what happens when these people take over. People die.

The worst affected states in the US are fucked due to poor state governance, it’s got nothing to do with Trump. And the worst affected states are Democrats.

It’s like blaming ScoMo for the decisions made by state premiers .

The economies are crushed due to the universally implemented lockdowns....got nothing to do with heads of state either.

But don’t let reality deviate from blind hatred.

I think the way that he used his leadership role to co-ordinate a cohesive, prompt, science driven response to this crisis was really good work, It was also good the way the federal government decided to manage the distribution of supplies amongst the states - can you imagine if states had to compete and bid against each other for needed medical supplies - debacle!.

It would've been idiotic to dismiss it, ignore the advice of medical advisors, encourage states to re-open their economies against the advice of experts and fail to set an example for the people of the country you lead by doing something so basic and simple as to wear a mask. Also would have been stupid to roll back federal support for testing when cases are surging.

Oh please blowin, just stop talking out your arse for 5 minutes.
Of the 15 worst trending states on July 1, 14 are Republican states. California being the exception. Those are Johns Hopkins figures. Republican governors have answered Trump's call to reduce the restrictions and the infection rates have gone through the roof. It was all so predictable.
Trump has been an unmitigated disaster for the USA and the bodybags are piling up.
BTW, your figures of half a dozen cases between them for various states is complete bullshit.
Those states you quoted are the least impacted, but they are all tracking in the wrong direction with approximate 200 new daily cases between them not half a dozen.

“ Decimates the red states”.....lol......less than 400 people out of every 1,000,000 supposedly die from it.

In four months of suspect and overwrought statistics, the USA has had 130,000 deaths based on any death counting as Wuflu even if they were dying anyway.

Each year almost 500,000 people die from smoking each year in the USA and they don’t stop the economy and lockdown the country.

"Quite frankly and being from Vic, I cant believe how shite a place Australia appears to be right now.
The absolute Covid paranoia I read about when comparing numbers against other countries and the number of deaths in Oz is ridiculous.
And not being able to leave the country??? Till next year? WTF is that?
As for quarantine on entry, didn't the Govt spend up on an App? Why not enforce Oz citizens on arrival to download and remain at home to be monitored rather than a
hotel? If breached = big fine?? Make testing mandatory perhaps?
Enforce social distancing, limited numbers in shops restaurants and supermarkets, wearing of masks for staff serving the public, etc.
Instead Oz is a giant Gestapo camp.
Wasn't the initial lock down designed to "flatten the curve" so that hospitals and
intensive care units weren't overwhelmed?
So thats been achieved and now what? Theres a few more numbers of infections but whose dying? Or even getting that crook?

The US wouldn’t even put Australian style warnings on cigarettes because it’d damage the profits of a couple of companies but they shut down their entire economy due to the Wuflu .

OMG, you're quoting Trump's buddy Mnuchin to prove there's been a "shut down (of) their entire economy". First of all, they never shut down their entire economy, and secondly, you do realise Trump appoints the head of treasury and it's not like Australia where the Treasury head is an independent public servant. Please tell me you know that!!!
50,000 new cases yesterday, concentrated in the red states. The bodies are going to start piling up, but of course Trump and the Republican governors aren't to blame at all, because well, you know, look over there....more people die from smoking.
You're starting to look very foolish again.

While accepting your point VL, especially in a historical sense, with the ever increasing politicalisation of the public service since Howard’s time I truely doubt the independence of the Treasury Head or even the head of the RBA.

It’s one thing we all know is the current government likes appointing their own people to these type of positions. Another example is the Fair Work Commission which is stacked full of people from Industry and Commerce.

Just to reinforce how objective your scientific conclusion is there , Craig.

It looks like Florida may be about to be decimated ( !!!!) . High body count. Mass casualties.....all because it’s a red state. It’s defining characteristic is that it’s full to the brim of dumb yokel , Trump worshipping recklessness and complacency !

“The 2016 United States presidential election in Florida was won by Donald Trump on November 8, 2016, with a plurality of 49.0% of the popular vote that included a 1.2% winning margin over Hillary Clinton, who had 47.8% of the vote.“

I’m sure the 47.8 percent who of Florida who voted for Hillary are doing the sensible thing and cowering in their homes from this death plague.

It’s the Republican’s fault . Completely.
