Dedicated to good news ....
Jeez, that sounds pretty wonderful, Stu.
Really got the thinking hat on myself (and Ms Island Bay) these days, re places to live. Good weather, warmer water, quality waves, etc etc.
If that's something you scored recently Facto, then happy days indeed.
Been some great news around our house with the downfall of skinflint celebrity chef George Calombaris. Before my wife and I hooked up she was dating the chubby pie eater, meaning every single time I serve up my thrice-weekly bean burritos I'm forced to endure dramatic eye rolls and a sermon about how her life could've turned out so much differently. You better believe I took great joy forcing her to sit through Georgie's PR-scripted mea culpa with Leigh Sales, all the while comparing my generosity, how I give loose coin to buskers, wave when merging in traffic etc, while ol' pudding face squirmed away on screen.
Holy shit , you’ve been given the gift that Keeps on giving. Time to put your feet up on the coffee table and start barking orders.
You’re a golden god compared to that melon headed little spiv. Don’t ever let the “ what could’ve been “ go forgotten.
His face tattooed on your chest wouldn’t be an ineffective or inappropriate psychological tool.
With a little good luck on your side you could be eating bean burritos 24/7.
Haha, classic Stu.
What a disgusting little worm that fella is, your missus certainly dodged a bullet.
Keep 'em coming fellas. I'm gonna show them to my wife and then do a bulk buy of El Paso.
Nah mate, a word from the wise .......... put it in the bank against future transgressions.
It might be time to apply penalty rates if she wants to continue eating your bean burritos....
My wife reckons she dated Luke Egan.... I still don't believe her.

Went to optometrist seeing floaters and black horizon.
Detached retina surgery that arvo (age related 1 in 10,000 odds)
This 11 weeks ago vitreous fluid sucked out, then laser, then gas bubble installed to push retina back into place (fully conscious but I was OK the anaesthetist, she held my hand) then life seen (not) through a bubble.
No psychical activity no driving nothing, nada, ficken torture.
My good news yesterday bubble finally went absorbed as vitreous fluid returns, today 1st surf still blind in the eye and I totally sucked but man it was good.
A result from the gas bubble is a cataract will require surgery within 6 months and then I find out where the sight ends up all good.
The technology is amazing, we really are lucky to live in this age.
Not a new photo , just a bit of surf porn.
I love this shit. That’s a freshly waxed , virgin surfboard at the start of a great day’s waves. Turned out to be one of the best boards I’ve ever ridden.
Now that’s some good times.
That’s real nice Blowin
Off the rack? Model? Custom?
Giz some backstory....
You’ve already heard it.
Custom version of a stock model with slight dimensional adjustment and heavier glass.
Sadly , these days it’s a bruised , battered and broken remnant of its previous glory . Multiple incursions onto exposed reef and being subject to the destructive power of a vicious Dirk Hartog Island mini tornado will do that to even the most responsive super stick.
Still mentally debating whether to get it recreated or strike out into uncharted territory .
I miss it , but still see room for incremental improvement.
Seeing as this is a good news thread, I'll tell you what I think is good news.
Last week on a couple of slow surf days a mate and I took kayaks and camping gear and headed up into the bush south west of Grafton for a leisurely 22km paddle down the Nymboida River.
Even though the water level was low, the paddle was magic, just drifting down the river in the middle of nowhere, with a couple of little rapids to keep things interesting.
But the real bonus was the freedom - free camping, no permits required for the 4WDing or the paddling, no one to police you or give you a hard time.
The Most Over-Regulated Country In The World still has its moments.
The good news is that Brian knows where his gaoler lives and one fine day he won’t just escape , he’ll escape and end that bastard.
smarter than the average human....
Ha ha blowin that was gold. Stottle is a sneaky little guy
AndyM that's magic. I'm on the coast in that neck of woods and am hankering for a camping trip down the river. The freedom and peace is sensational. It'll have to wait a little though as we are off to Queenstown tomorrow.
Yeah, eight sections on that kayak trail, would be nice to complete all of them, hopefully with a bit more water than this last time.
You've done a few of them?
found an o'neil psycho 2 steamer in very good condition for $25 at the local op-shop. woo-hoo!
Breaking Good News Week from Pell...Court rules there is a God?
Andrew Bolt still doubting Pells victims !
Oz Newspaper Mastheads [ Pell stripped of 'Order of Australia' ]
GG: OAM may be terminated if convicted of crime or offence.(Precisely Pell's case)
NEWS: Losing 'this appeal' PM had promised to write to GG to revoke Pell's OAM.
PM:(Today) "My understanding is that this (appeal loss) would result in the striping of the honours that are decided externally to the government"
"That is a process that is done independently, and that course will now follow."
GG (PM captain's call in off season!)
"I will wait until 'All legal proceedings' have run their course.
Note: Pell has the largest most expensive enduring legal teams on earth.
There's no end to 'legal proceedings' even when free of prison, Pell will likely sue!
Thus Holy GG rescues Holy PM by reneging on promise to sacrifice the Holy cow.
Religion was never on trial & must remain innocent thru eyes of highest authority.
Q: Did 'ALL' the Newspapers get it wrong & prejudice Pell's special leave to appeal?
