I heart WOTD

Awesome shot today.
Super stylish turn.

Isn't it? It's a great example of unweighting a turn to control the drift. All his weight's on the front foot now with the cocked back leg just steering the tail through the turn.

..all while air-guitaring Jimi's Watchtower solo.

The world is completely stuffed with rampant warmongers tearing the place apart while people can't find enough money to put a roof over their heads even with a full time job. It can get you down, even if you've got the good fortune to paddle out for a wave every now and then.
But thankfully we can log on and check the front page of swellnet and pretty often that daily wave, with its sometimes-fun-sometimes-thoughtful caption will lift you up a little bit. Today's one of those days.
Thanks all.

How sweet is that picture!

It's a ripper, great colours. Steve A's shot from yesterday was equally captivating.

Yes, that 1st shot was a cracker, but to @stu’s comment on steve’s story and photos yesterday, that shot was taken definitely in the morning, not only because of the colours but also I’m pretty sure that’s a well known bluff in the background!

Love todays WOTD. Hahahaha, can relate.
How many of us have been there in that situation? :) lol.

Totally, what could have been.

And probably just a little bit of "what's about to come" in the back of his mind.

Definitely been in that situation many times.... and in front of the crowd!
"Hey guys, I made the wotd on swellnet"
The wave of the day does it for me big time. Nice work Steen Barnes , Shaun Anderson and Swellnet.
In one photo you've encompassed everything nice about surfing. If I was a wanker I'd say that it was perfect except for the fact he is in a wetsuit. Which it is , it's perfect .....except for the fact he's in a wetsuit.
