While there's been a trickle of leftover east swell this morning, this should of faded this afternoon, and for the rest of the week we're looking at effectively flat surf with a series of strong mid-latitude fronts pushing across us.

The only possible swell due across our region for the forecast period is a small weak N/NE windswell later Friday and more so Saturday.

This will be related to a strong cold front pushing in from the west, squeezing a high in the Tasman Sea.

At this stage the fetch looks a little too north to generate any major size for us above a glancing 2ft on Saturday with offshore winds.

We'll have a closer look at this on Wednesday though to pin down the sizes.
