Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 20th September)

Best Days: No good days, dawn tomorrow possibly

Recap

Tiny waves yesterday morning, increasing a touch into the afternoon out of the south but with poor winds.

This morning conditions were cleaner and the swell better with 2-3ft sets at south magnets, much smaller at open beaches.

This week and weekend (Sep 21 - 24)

The coming forecast period isn't too impressive at all.

Today's S'ly swell should of eased into this afternoon with tiny fading 1-1.5ft sets due tomorrow morning across south magnets with a fresh N/NW breeze.

We're not expected to see any N'ly windswell from these winds into Friday or Saturday as the fetch remains poorly aimed.

From here on we then look at an intense mid-latitude low moving in and across us on Monday evening, with some new S'ly swell on the cards. Check back here Friday for an update on this as before then, there's nothing to really surf.
