Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 21st November)

Best Days: No good days

Recap

Tiny waves after Wednesday's fun S'ly swell yesterday, while today was similarly tiny under offshore winds.

This weekend (Nov 22 - 23)

Tomorrow will be tiny again and Sunday isn't looking too much better with only a slight chance for small kick in NE windswell to 1-2ft at north-east swell magnets from a short-lived fetch of NE winds east of Bass Strait overnight Saturday and early Sunday.

Winds are a little funky and look to be variable early ahead of a shallow S/SE change favouring southern corners.

Next week onwards (Nov 24 onwards)

Monday is due to be near flat with a tiny easing NE windswell under N/NW winds.

The only significant sign of swell is likely Thursday from a cold front pushing up past us Wednesday afternoon/evening.

It'll only be weak windswell and come in at 2-3ft across south facing beaches Thursday morning under variable tending E/NE winds.

The swell is then due to ease slowly through the day and down further from 2ft Friday morning under NW tending N/NE winds.

Longer term there's nothing significant on the cards but check back here on Monday for the latest update. Have a great weekend.

Craig, is there any chance of a small masqueraded se groundswell next weekend?

Small indeed, maybe 2ft+ max on Saturday at this stage. Our models have it being the dominant source Saturday around 0.7m @ 9.7s.

That swell two Thursday's ago was much better, I surfed a coupla wedges that were 2ft+, while Goats etc were in the 3ft+ range but closing.

Also scored this place to myself a few days later. A touch spooky being the only person around.

Haha really. Wow. Weird how you get an image of someone, much like radio and they look nothing like it.
