When you watch JJF, Dane and Noa clips you see the limitations so clearly that the WSL now faces.
Well produced, insanely high level, landmark surfing vs monotonous, repetitive and dated competition format surfing.
Watch one over and over again, replaying your favourite parts at your leisure or sit through 10 hours of drudge with ads and inane commentary in the hope of a snippet of genius or at least a modicum of competitive tension.

I happen to have a Phd in surf clip music. Twenty years of study, my life's work you understand. Anyway, I entered this clip into the supercomputer we have here at Oxford University and after four hours of calculations it was determined that the music was crap. You can't argue with science Andrew.
