As the seasons turn and the cosmic ballet continues - thank you Leonard Nimoy - the short clips from the El Nino season turn into longer 'best of' edits.

First up, Dusty Payne who this winter swapped the hairy-chested sessions at Peahi for the smooth curves of Honolua. His first wave shows the decision was sound.

Don't think anyone can surf better than that! Incredible wave judgement and timing. Looks like he's glued on.

I love how mobile he is on that board.
He's shuffling up and down it like an old man on a dance floor.

There's some real man barrels there .
He is such a good surfer . There's something amiss with the system when a surfer of his caliber gets kicked off the tour.

Match made in heaven, Honolua and and Dusty Payne.

I like his style: wide stance and perfect posture = super powerful yet not overdoing it.

Hope he comes back from that 5 wave hold down; too awful to even contemplate.

Yup. Loved it.
After the east coast lately, those waves hurt to watch.
