What's a few drops of water falling from the sky? The spray off the lip as you surface from duckdiving, that's what. All it takes is a li'l imagination...

The Sydney Surf Film Festival began its run this week, and of course Sydney is beset with water falling from the sky. Shake it off and get yourself down to Bondi tonight for The Salt Trail and the aptly named, and thoroughly entertaining, Cradle of Storms.

Cradle of Storms is filmed in the Aleutian Islands where Alex Gray, Josh Mulcoy, and Pete Devries braved heavy weather, flew on rickety prop planes, and ate seal meat en route to discovering one of the best cold-water slabs in the world. Check the trailer:

Tomorrow night - that is, Thursday night - the festival moves to Manly for three consecutive nights of films. OUT In The Line-up, Metanoia, Tierra de Patagones, The Old, The Young & The Sea, The Salt Trail, and The Cradle Of Storms will screen at Manly. Get more information from the SSFF website.

Checked this out last night. Some great waves in Cradle of storms and the Rasta movie was great too just cause he is such an epic surfer. Also thought Bundjalung was interesting. Salt trail was boring as fuck!
