Floating over Padang Padang
Don't say you're sick of drone footage. Not yet. Not before watching this clip shot during the last Padang Padang swell. The lines wrapping from Ulus, the tight takeoff, the line of waiting surfers, no other angle allows you to see all this in one sweeping pan.

Ahhh, I hear the odd grumble about the sudden saturation of drone footage, but me, I'm into it. Anyone remember the Mavs comp from last year and the heli footage they showed? Been seeing photos of that wave for 20 years but that was the first time I'd seen it in context with the wider coastline; saw how the waves came in from the north running almost parallel with the shore, focussing on the outside reef, then detonating on the reef proper. Great stuff.
Drone footage from a big day at Grajagan would be good.

I'm not sick of the drone footage at all either! I'm with you guys - new angles, very creative filming I love it! Just seeing how the reefs look from above & how the waves form over them + seeing the surfers weaving through the tubes and climbing over sections, spray out the back. Its all good!
While thinking drone footage, it's a nice time to revisit the Mentawais.
