If you can't handle the data, you shouldn't be playing. In the meantime, take a look at the yearly data, draw a trend line from peak to peak and have a good hard look.

Speaking of data and tend lines, this is from the other week but this chart really makes sense, all you guys into crypto should really check this one out.

(BTW. Since this chart was drawn up the other week, we have stayed within the natural sustainable trend channel)

Absolutely brilliant! A chart! He found one! Problem solved in a nutshell! All questions answered! Trading bitcoin within that speculative trend channel solves everything! Now the big guns, the real experts come out to play and simply cash in! Like this indo dreaming guy below, who says this on the previous page! Stuff the trend channel he reckons, in a nutshell! Just start cashing in outside of it! Again, just sheer brilliance and hard core googling!

'6K would be my re- entry point.

Personally I've decided to bite the bullet and sell all my alts to Bitcoin and get proactive and start making money off it's movements.'

But wait a minute, hold your horses! Those flamin' other trading experts like this indo dreaming guy, are issuing dire warnings about bitcoin! Look what the big gun says on page 11! In a nutshell he reckons avoid it like the plague!

'IMHO bitcoin is now also one of the worst investments in crypto, lets take a price of 10.5K USD to double your money it needs to hit 21K USD, of which it may do, but it hasn't done yet and would most likest take months to do.'

As for the real info, actual data about actual trades and accounts, all the stupid nitty gritty shit like entry, exit, costs, position size, profits, that expert indo dreaming guy says, in a nutshell, stuff that shit! How the blooming hell can the pros, the big guns keep track of that! And in a nutshell, he says stuff the ATO too! As a matter of fact, he says stuff money management, stuff protecting your capital, stuff the flamin lot! Just ride it all down the gurgler! While you cash in! For the kiddies!

Sheer brilliance, what more can you say! In a nutshell!

@Crypto knight

Sorry I've never claimed to be an expert on crypto, if you go back to the first page and read all my comments you can track my journey from total kook to where i am now which is intermediate level, and just like anyone sometimes i get it right sometimes wrong, I'm still on a journey still learning and yes just like Bitcoin/cryoto my views are up and down and often all over the place, just go follow anyone on Trading view or TA and other views on youtube Crypto channels and you will find exactly the same thing and lots of contradictions from week to week, things in Crypto aren't easy to figure out and often break rules or don't follow traditional TA for traditional markets.

And yes I'm not a fan of Bitcoin in itself, to me it's outdated it uses huge amounts of energy and i don't believe in crypto as in a decentralised payment system for wide stream mainstream use, i think its just a pipe dream, but i do believe it has a use for improving business and anything that improves business and makes established business more money has a future, in recent weeks I've wrestled with just biting the bullet and putting everything into Bitcoin because sadly it's movements effect the market so much and at times Bitcoin can moon while alts sit still or even devalue and it's a popular method among more knowledgable people in crypto to go into bitcoin until it goes on a bull run then go back into alts once it stabilisers.

However If it be known i decided against this, I've had a lot sitting in Teether waiting to drop below 6K, last night during a dip i decided to put a little back into alts i believe in, a hard decision to make that could end up being a mistake if we do retrace, but i also don't want to be caught out to far behind the eight ball if things do increase even more.

I shared the chart because unlike so much TA that is just hugely speculative looking at the recent past or near future, this chart takes the longer tern trend into account and gives a better perspective on a longer time period.

Judging by your name you are into Crypto so perhaps rather than be negative and attack me personally, maybe you can share the knowledge you have learnt or at least your thoughts instead and come up with something constructive.?

Still indo dreaming’ comments have some value, from a pitfalls to avoid, and a what not to do example. No doubt that intermediate wisdom will quickly grow bolder, in a nut shell. But here’s some truths, any beginning trader must master.

Despite all the other necessities, no matter what instrument that you choose to buy and sell, your number one, most valuable tool is your capital. Cash. So first and foremost a beginner needs to learn all about protecting, valuing, respecting and managing capital. At all times. Always. Avoid anyone’s advice that says otherwise like the plague.

Indos chart. Bitcoin. Any instrument. Anywhere. Any time, and any time frame. The one main thing that isn’t speculative, isn’t gambling, guessing. There are a few, and only a few, but one supersedes all others in any market, any instrument. Price. The basis of all else. Including indos mighty chart. Price, open, close, high, low, range. One bar at a time! So much true, reliable information, contained in those price variables. Price, the next thing a beginner needs to master. Bitcoin, the instrument does nothing, the buyers and sellers go here there and every where, and create price. In any market, trading. Master what that really means. It never lies. Avoid anyone’s advice that says otherwise like the plague.

Master those two, become experts in those two, and you will be level headed, and you will also know what else you then need to successfully trade. You will have clarity in the chaos. You won’t be all over the shop and prone to fits of ignorance. You will ask the right questions. Seems simple. What does price reflect? Put in the time and effort necessary to become an expert. I’m gone.

Bit of a history lesson.

Crypto Knight is a new alias for a long time poster, that has gone under a few other names like Uplift & Herc (Hercules)

I really don't know much about him over than that he loves to argue and troll people is about 60 and a body builder or into that kind of thing also thinks he is some legend of the wave Blacks in SA. (maybe he is, who knows)

Now he is in this thread he will constantly troll and try to bait me and possibly others.

I highly doubt he has any interest in crypto, he would have just created the name to troll me, i was the last silly bugger to take him on and he is obviously still really butt hurt over it.

Most long term posters have had a run in with him here, but most are smart enough to not interact with him too much, I will also do my best to bite my tongue and ignore him, but it is hard sometimes though.

The Kryptonite title is something he has twisted from my posts a very long time ago . He seems to have so much time within his busy schedule to trawl back through posts and try and repost and twist the lines . Although i think in his last moniker he is going to far and actually personally attacking another member of this forum . Of which i will publically ask Stu to remove him again, as whilst i love an arguement the recipient deserves more respect from him . As the guy has done more for our sport than Uplifts:- Community , Historic , Sports medicine, B'Ball and surfing combined .

That an interesting thought can Bitcoin stop or vanish?

If not mined i think transactions can't be completed?

But even if not mined it will still exist as code on computers and can be brought back to life.

But yeah its still going sitting at about 10K AUD at the moment had a 1K plus jump in price the other day in about half an hour.

Bitcoin is actually looking good at the moment, broken the descending trend line on the daily chart which is a good sign and have a golden cross on the 4 hour charts another bullish sign.

Bitcoin also got approved legal under sharia law for muslims last week, which opens up the market to about 1 billion more people.

Lots of alts have had a good run this week too.

Not a fan but Verge even did some deal with Porn hub yesterday.

Doesn't look like it's there now, and no crazy drops in price just nice steady up and down chart with nice gradual sustainable growth.

I don't take to much notice of depth charts and buy and sell walls, seems they appear and disappear all the time, not sure if bots or whales use them to try to manipulate price even if just psychological.

Ive topped up on Ada recently looks like some positive news of late aded to big exchange in China, new pairings USDT on Binance, some decent events coming up in next few months, it's quite a way down on it's all time high and has a good team and reputation, seems like they are just steady building rather than rushing and hyping things.

Productive assets create an income (shares with dividends), non productive assets don't (etc Gold)

Many cryptos don't produce an income they just fluctuate in price that can either be traded or held as a speculative investment.

However it's not true that all cryptos are non productive assets as many cryptos you can actually stake, where once you hold a certain number of coins, you actually get rewarded with more coins or a different coin. (if you like you can cash these in and still hold your original holding of cryptos)

For example the most well know is the NEO platform, where for holding NEO you receive another crypto called GAS.

It's called POS (proof of stake) it's a system to verify transactions that uses very little energy opposed to bitcoin that uses POW (proof of work) that uses huge amounts of energy.

IMHO the future of crypto is in low energy use, fast, scalable crypto that helps improve business or provide business solutions so I'm a fan of POS cryptos.

Google proof of stake cryptocurrencies to learn more.

There is also a few other ways to get an income from cryptos other than staking or mining, trading etc, like securing a masternode but you would realistically need a lot of money to do this.

Very interesting read.

Cut and pasted from elsewhere.

Dubai is planning* to remove middlemen like lawyers, accountants, bankers, immigration officers & govt. officials by year 2020 by adapting to blockchain technology.

What will governments look like 5 years from now? Today Dubai announced its plan to be *“The World’s first blockchain powered government”* with a plan to move 100% on blockchain by 2020:

> ArabianChain is moving all Dubai’s government paperwork onto the blockchain, so it doesn’t need lawyers and government departments for verification.

> ObjectTech is providing digital passports and blockchain security to Dubai International airport to deliver seamless entry and exit from the country.

> The Dubai Land Department has launched a blockchain system to record all real estate contracts and record all property-related transactions such as rental, utility and telcom bills.

> In October, Dubai launched emCash, its own cryptocurrecny for citizens to pay for all services via digital cash.

> The country has set up the 46-member Global Blockchain Council, including companies like Microsoft, IBM and Cisco, to lead the way in the country’s adoption of blockchain technology.
Blockchain smart contracts and cryptocurrency track all transactions that take place with any agreement or transferable asset. That means the end-point of Dubai’s blockchain adoption is that there will be no further need for the middlemen in our day-to-day transactions.

*No more laywers. *
*No more accountants. *
*No more bankers. *
*No more immigration officers. *
*No more government officials. *

Dubai estimates that by putting its 100 million documents each year onto the blockchain, they will save 25 million man hours and $1.5 billion in tax dollars.

It would also massively shrink the size of the Dubai government. Why would they do that?
As Dr Aisha Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office, the country’s department in charge of making Dubai the world’s smartest city says:

“The Dubai government differs from others around the world in that it aims to make Dubai the *‘Happiest City on Earth’* In short, we want to give people back time they would have otherwise spent on filing paperwork.”

Could Dubai’s Blockchain initiative lead to a revolution in happy countries reducing the size and influence of their governments?
Could an end point be no government at all?

“The Internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow.” ~ Bill Gates
When asked how he would set up a government on Mars, Elon Musk said the “Most likely the form of government on Mars would be a direct democracy - it would be people voting directly on issues.”

In other words, in this new technological age where the best middle man is no middle man, the best government may be no government at all.” - Roger Hamilton

“Lets go invent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday.” ~ Steve Jobs
This is a warning, nay more a death knell for people who have worked for years in middle management jobs or employed with specific skill sets such as lawyers, engineers.
