Ace's post heat spiels sound more and more like a job application for an executive position with every heat.

If he makes the finals there will be a PowerPoint presentation involved.

Gonna be resurfed. New rules say you can't block for priority before priority gets established, which is exactly what Kanoa did and a minute later, while holding priority, he paddled into the highest scoring wave of the heat.

Was pretty cut and dry decision.

Felipes not the only local left. Jordy's still in the draw.

cheers Stu.
I reckon they should either do a coin toss at the start or the highest ranked surfer has priority for the start of the heat.

Twice this morning they've crossed to roving mics, Strider and Rosie, to hear about paddle battles which tells me they're struggling for shit to say. Does a paddle battle really need an expert's opinion?

He was pumped up and riding on his confidence the way AI used to. Jordy was behind in his heat against Morais but probably felt he shouldn't have been, so when he tore the button off a righthander he signed it off with a furious double-shake, crossed-arms claim while glaring and yelling at the judges, then steamed back out and sat right next to Morais. Like inches off his shoulder. When Morais turned away Jordy moved in front of him so Morais simply couldn't ignore him.

Great fire and showmanship.

Yeah been some really good surfing from what ive seen, especially Lakey against Carissa one of the best heats from the women's i can remember except maybe the final at the quicky pro with Lakey and Steph if memory serves me correct. Some of the turns they were doing would win a mens heat, speaking of which Jordy and jj on fire.......
