I won a trip to Bali with work - whoop whoop!! My first time....
Loads of the Bali surf guides recommend booties.
My question for you guys who have surfed Bali is whether it worth wearing booties?

Thanks on advance!

Further to above I also wondered, if you should call off locals when they are dropping in? I heard to just let them go cause they get pissed if you hoot??

Best you be giving your holiday and booties to a struggling Indian Burgsurfer.

Sorry mate, can't help myself.
You'll want booties at low tide ulus if you've got soft feet, otherwise you're pretty right without them I reckon. Maybe borrow a pair so you're not left wanting.
If an Indo goes, let them have it. Then gauge their demeanour when they paddle back out. If they're not fire breathing fuckwits then crack up a conversation and tell them how much you love their country and their waves. Be honest and friendly like you would want to be anywhere and before you know it you'll be getting called into sets.....maybe.

Either way you'll be happier for it . Get stuck in mate. Bali rules.

short type not the high type as those get mixed up with your leggy and can rip right off and the short low cut ones feel more free and stay on.
